[Mark Lazerus] A reporter asked Sidney Crosby if there’s a problem with hockey’s culture. Crosby said he didn’t think this huge scrum of “15-second soundbites” was a good venue for such a topic, and said he’d be happy to talk privately with the reporter after. Then he actually did. Good on him.

   If the superstars of the NHL like McDavid Matthews MacKinnon Makar (2018 WJC Canada), Crosby, all made a joint statement saying that players at any level who commit sexual assault or harassment against women have no place in hockey, it would go a long way to shaping the perspective of impressionable bantam and junior level players who idolize NHL stars.
