With Elias Lindholm getting traded from the Calgary Flames to the Vancouver Canucks, are the Canucks now the deepest, and most well rounded team in the league? What do you think about this trade from either side? Did the Canucks overpay for him? Or was this a fair deal? Let me know in the comments!

I’ll play devils advocate and say that I don’t like the trade. Scoring isn’t an issue for the. Canucks. What they need is more grit. A player like Alex Tuch would do more for the team. Do that and move Meyers for a guy like Luke Schenn and I’d be a believer.
The Canucks are the cream of the crop
Like it.
Ask me after season is over
Personally I feel the 01-02 wings were
If you're talking about a good "problem" to have, it's Rick Tocchet having to figure out where to put Lindholm. He can put together 3 solid lines anchored by 3 solid centres, or he could play him with Pettersson or Miller. And that PP is going to be scary. I think once they realized Suter could be a fit, at least short term, in the top 6 as a winger, parting with Kuzmenko got a lot easier. He wasn't fitting with the coach's system, and shedding his cap hit for this year and next was huge. I still don't know if they can afford to keep the core of this group together, even with Myers a UFA, but we'll see. I think management knew that, so it became even more imperative to take advantage of this opportunity and make a run for it.
no. not even close lol it’s also important to remember that reg season doesn’t mean jack shit. as long as you make it into the play-offs, that’s all that really matters. i just hope a canadian team wins the cup this year.
"the nightmare that was Jim Benning" ah yes, how terrible of Jim Benning to have assembled our entire core. No biggie. Because Gillis us left us with SO MANY great prospects after all. Benning rage syndrome is so silly.
Well, with Lindholm on the Canucks, it's safe to say they're now the UNDISPUTED masters of pronouncing Swedish names correctly!
Teams with this much hype always go out first round. I won't get my hopes up yet. I'll be happy to win a round and do well in the second. I didn't think we would even be in talk for top tea.
Enjoy the team for what it is. Anything can happen come playoffs. COCONUTS GO !!!!!
Only team I can see beating the Canucks in the playoffs is Vegas
No not the best team. A good team possibly a great team. They haven't one anything yet. Let's calm down one step at a time.
No undisputed but arguably the top, definitely jumped into that top tier.
I think Kuzmenko is a star . I’m very sad to see him go . His upbeat energy alone was great .
They are the second best team in western Canada and the fourth best team in Canada. So no, they are barely top ten in NHL.
The contrast between this management regime vs the previous one… we didn’t even realize how bad they were. Incompetence was normalized over years of stupidity.
Only time a team is the undisputed best is when they lift the cup. The Canucks are undisputedly Good this year, and they just got better. You could argue they’re the best regular season team right now, but you could also argue for Colorado, or Boston or Edmonton. We need to keep ourselves in check a bit, we’re just one of a few contenders, all of which could still exit in the first round.
Dump a 5.5mil benched guy for a coveted right shot #2 center? Who makes less $. Hrmm. This kills two birds with one stone. Fills the center need, dumps a contract acquired through FA. Rutherford Alvin is familiar with Lindholm…the picks and prospects are unknowns. This is how you get ahead imo.
Yes. Duh? 🫡
No.
I dont watch hockey but your enthusiasm and good tunes keep me coming back. never knew you were only at 3k. quality work
As a Winnipeg Jets fan, I'm worried about facing this team in the WCF. It's gonna happen. These are 2 of the best teams in the Western conference that are pretty much evenly matched. My team is gonna need a little bit more to face this team in the WCF.
Nope, Lindholm is a sieve, he benefitted when Matthew tkachuck played for the flames, the reason why he left Carolina was because he wasn’t playing well, a good center is a player that makes the other players better on their line. Monahan is that player
Best trade before or at the trade deadline since getting Toffoli and reminds me when the Canucks got their missing piece in Jeff Brown in 94 as Lindholm is exactly who they need
