[Matthew Fairburn] With Todd McLellan fired in L.A., there are now only six NHL coaches who have been in their positions longer than Don Granato has been coaching the Sabres.

If he’s getting fired it won’t be until the summer

It’s getting ridiculous how complacent the Sabres are with just staying the course and regurgitating the same old bullshit “We believe in the coach!” nonsense. Meanwhile other *playoff* teams are shitcanning their coaches because of a bad month or two… really says a lot about how much the Sabres want to win

The Buffalo Sabres are not a serious NHL franchise

We’re trying out the ol’ “stick with the coach for longer than 2 seasons” for the first time in 11 years lol.

FWIW, it’s probably a good idea to shake things up. But the problem hasn’t been the organization’s ability to make changes. It’s the ability to make the RIGHT changes. Gotta find a good coach who is actually interested in living in Buffalo.

How is that possible? He’s been the coach for like what, 2.5 seasons?

How many times are we going to fire our coach and have it not work

To be fair to granato, he hasn’t lost to the Sabres yet

Getting the coach you like fired is a direct way to experience consequences and responsibility
