Regardless of how you feel about Linholm as the Avs' 2C solution there's no chance we were giving up that much in order to get him, especially as most likely only a rental.

Avs made the right choice in holding off. Lindholm isn't nearly good enough as a rental to warrant that much. We will have other suitors.

Please don't read too much into this, I really enjoy what Eric brings to the table in both knowledge and personal experience. But bro, you have got to formulate your thoughts and then speak. Trying to listen to you talk your way through your thoughts is so ridiculously hard to follow sometimes, you bounce around all over the place.
There are times where I will legit skip over an entire segment where you are talking because trying to follow your train of thought as you word vomit is really frustrating.
Again, this is not meant to be an insult, I appreciate what you bring to the channel and I do enjoy listening to you in general, but you have got to think before you speak rather than talking while you think.
I'm interested to hear why Rudo thinks Casey Mittelstadt is a "bum". Guy has 42 points and is +9 thru 49 games on a bad team. Put up 59 points last year. He's clearly on the cusp of truly breaking out. Could probably be an every-year 70pt guy. Maybe he's looking at defensive metrics? In which case, how do you factor in the part about Buffalo being bad as a whole? You kinda have to take advanced metrics on one player with a grain of salt when considering how well the team is playing. He's really the only true 2C option that actually fits with the way the Avs attack offensively. You can sort out the defensive effort as you go. Especially if you put him in between Lehkonen and Nichushkin, who can carry the load on the forecheck, puck retrieval, and defensive structure.
