Didn’t even touch him,, pretty easy to see that. Even if Stützle fell because of the reaction he had, that’s his own fault for over correcting.

His left skate got knocked. Watch as it wobbles back and forth after Fischer drags his right skate behind him. He leapt to avoid contact and there’s no way he’s landing with his skate altered like that. Should it have been a penalty? Probably not, it’s a weak call, but it’s not a dive.

Editing to say I changed my mind and think it should’ve been a penalty. Sorry but you drag your skate behind to impend the puck carrier and it catches his skate sending him sprawling? That’s a trip

  3. Give-Me-The-Bat

    Another game, another Stutzle embellishment

  4. RecentAssociation220

That left skate definitely gets hit and throws his balance off

  5. CarloFailedClear

Common tactic in soccer. Drag your feet and invite contact in order to embellish a trip. Probably learned it from watching Bundesliga.

What is this, groundhog day? Every other night I see people accusing Stutzle of diving (and rightfully so).

  7. cakeschmammert

Stutzle is extremely notorious for it. Soft call.

  8. __Aztec__

How is that embellishment, his left skate clearly clips the guy which prevents him from being able to land on it

  9. bcsmith317

Damn Uncle Fester sure is worked up about it.

  10. I’m not saying Stützle is a diver… But everytime I see an embeleshing play, it’s always Tim.

    Weird huh🤷🏻‍♂️

  11. NorthernMariner

Kinda weird instance…. Yeah it shouldn’t have been a call as the little bit of contact was incidental, but at the same time he didn’t really dive….

  12. Wonderful-Weight-607

Stutzle does have a rep for this kind of thing. Whatever the case, they are both trying to win. Of course Lalonde will bitch and complain.

That Red Wings fan was having fun fisting that cup. On a serious note, the fact this wasn’t embellishment is pretty sad. The Wings player was just trying to make a play on the puck and ole Timmy boy straight up dove.

Everybody in the comments arguing like it’s gonna change something. Y’all are hilarious.

  15. HerbalAndy

I mean it looks like he purposely keeps that right leg planted to be a bigger target.. he might have and probably did embellish, but the red wings player kept that leg extended for a reason.. that is clear cut attempt to trip or slow down the other dude with your leg

  16. It’s not a penalty and it’s not a dive. He’s trying to get around the player and falls. This is on the refs.

  17. tehutika

There’s no penalty here. It’s not a trip, nor a dive. Refs blew this one.

  18. silentmatt1

Admittedly Stü falls a lot whether anyone is around or not. But it sure looks like in slo mo the Red Wings player drags his foot to trip him up

  19. Low_Information_9675

He dragged his leg and tripped him. Pretty simple.

  20. adtthosa

And I saw the Sens sub calling Larkin a diver the other day….

  21. Suspicious-Drama-549

I love how this thread is so much nicer than the other subs. People agreeing it’s just a bad call, no embellishment, arguable trip but probably not

  22. It is literally impossible to take Lalonde seriously with that face. Guy is out here scheming on how best to get that pesky Batman.
