Lucas Canning is ready to step into the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League with Pictou County Weeks. The gifted 15 year old only 31 games in Major Bantam with Novas last season but managed 31 goals and 66 points in 31 games. Canning will miss the opening weekend due to commitments with his baseball team at the Atlantics but is eager to begin the season.
