Would you be down to see the two line pass rule make a comeback?
Another thing I saw the other day cuz I was watching an old old uh highlights and it was the two-line pass which you completely forget there was illegal sticks there was two Line pass so showing our age I think that’s a rule that Sid said he’d want back in the game
Is put the red line back in which I think would be I don’t know I wouldn’t mind that I think it would make for smarter hockey I miss the smart hockey days I feel like the game’s not smart anymore I feel like it’s just fast straight lines like quick execution hope
For a break you know hope plays it’s like quickly transition through a crowd because we do it we’re going to go as fast as we can and hope it hits a couple sticks bounces over and you get like a two-on-one or a quick break and quick quick attack strike you know it’s no
Like pull turn up pullbacks give and goes like give and goes are like almost gone merals they’re pretty much just like gone if you see a give and go you just like Marvel in it you’re like what a play like it’s just crazy the long lost
Art of the give and go is gone out of our

No. No. Worst idea ever. Would result in SLOW hockey not smart.
Does he ever have a good take ?
Problem with give and go’s now is you give the puck (hope you dont get blindsided after release) then try to “go” as the player you passed it to is stationary waiting for me to get open and gets drilled into the boards and they are on a 2 on 1 while im busting my ass back trying to help. The game is way too fast and guys catch you in seconds or close the distance quick enough to shut down any give and go unless you’re lucky and high flip it over the blue line. Theres plenty of give and go’s happening in the O zone but there out of corners and no one cares when buddy snipes from the faceoff dot from a gross behind the net give and go sauce.
Hes spot on
You need to go back to the original zones ! When the blue lines were moved to make the offensive/defensive zones bigger the two line pass wasn’t going to work !if you move them the original size it would work better !
I agree 100 percent. I have to deal with beer league Cherry pickers all night 🥶
No thank you. Dislike this rule.
Wow this is hugely debatable and I have reasons for yes and for no….
2 line pass was the worst rule in all of sports. Get rid of overtime. That is the real problem
Nightmare for linesman to call. Would be lot of video review and taking goals away
Army telling us he never watches Kucherov without telling us he never watches Kucherov.
MLB has always used wooden bats in the pros, the NHL should do the same with the sticks, most of the NHL history has been played with wooden sticks and if shouldn’t have been changed to begin with, let the pros adapt and all the records will be on common grounds
That was shit when it was it was around . No on wants that
Worst take ever! 😂
No. Just no. That would severely limit some the games best players.
Bring the red line back as well remove the goalie triangle behind the net and let the goalies play the puck!!! 💚💚💚
No no no we've done this before trap trap trap if theres a red line…
I think icing and over the glass should be intentional only.
No no no no – fans love the speed and home run passes
2 line pass was awful l, it really slowed the game down. If it comes back then hard checks will as well. Then all liberals will cry about the increase of checks and then they’ll removing checking. End results: hockey will be ruined
Look at them bags on Colby
Idiotic
Booooooo.
Grumpy old men. Bring back holding as well. Let's really slow it down.
Hockey is on a rise and is being more entertaining and fast paced every season. You know how we can make this even better guys “let’s make the game slower”.
100% people will realize how much it sped the game up!! Put it back in let's see if these superstars can hack it
Starting to sound like torts 😂
Two line pass? Why so we can have more goals called back after a ten minute video review.
🤦🏻♂️I can’t believe this is even being discussed. Bottleneck the entire ice surface. Make it offsides on defensive blue line as well so the true purist can revel in as many zero to zero games as possible.
Hell no. Can you imagine how many more goals gretzky, lemieux and that era would of had i can recall an insane amount of lost goals over that dumb ass rule.
Yes let's slow down the game
Nope! Two line rule terrible. Get rid of the extra magical point for ties or go to the 3 point system. Change the schedule to play each team twice.
The top 14 teams make the playoffs, teams 15-18 play one another best of seven and the highest seed always gets the lowest seed.
It will never happen but you would see the regular season matter and the divisional garbage go away
fuck no. 🤡
breakaways have become common, you barely havve to earn them anyymore
NOOOOO
But then defenses bring back the trap defense and goal scoring takes a huge dive
Don't ever do it
Completely agree speed doesn't mean good. McDavid is the ultimate product of fast hockey and to me he's not exciting to watch, he is one dimensional, he is circling on and on. This is not spinning roulettes.
I live for the “give & go”. Play shinny with young guys and after nearly every goal against they pull it out of the net and immediately try to make a pass thru 3 opponents to their buddy at the far blue line… meanwhile the old fart (me) is wide open on the half boards between hash marks and the near blue line… 😠
No more custom goalie mask paint.
Army…..thats an unreally accurate take on the culture of the game. Beauty to listen to. Keep rolling boys
They would if they cared about player safety
That was a terrible rule
Not a chance
Worst take I’ve ever heard.
Boys come on worst take 😂😂
Trap hockey isn’t as fun to watch. Although the corollary to this is failed attempts to pass in the neutral zone would likely result in more turnovers. Biggest problem is this would drive away viewership. More stoppages means more commercials, more boredom. There’s a reason refs don’t blow down a scrum against the boards anymore, especially compared to 80s or 90s hockey.
Never talk about hockey again
