Today we’re going over some more weird NHL Trade Rumours from the Missin’ Curfew podcast, and like the last one—wherein we spoke about the idea of the New York Rangers trading the 1st overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, projected to be Alexis Lafreniere, to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for elite winger Brady Tkachuk, and the 3rd overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, which most likely either be Quinton Byfield or Tim Stutzle—this trade rumour involves some big names.

This time, it’s the idea of a Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers trade, wherein the Flames would send over Johnny Gaudreau in exchange for Jakub Voracek and Shayne Gostisbehere, with a prospect or two maybe thrown in there too.

  1. Egor Zamula or Isaac Ratcliffe along with Alex Lyon to Calgary? Treliving wants to get better in net and D. Lyon could be a good GK and Zamula is a D-Man with the Hitmen. Ratcliffe is just a B/B+ prospect? I have no idea what Philly would get back though if this trade actually is true

  2. The rumors has been out there from another nhl rumor guy not to be mentioned. What is the other piece is the question. Is it Frost? is it Flyers taking on Lucic contract? Is it a lesser prospect like O'Brien

  3. I think that if they have to give up Vorachek, it may not be worth it, because Vorachek-Couturier-Giroux is one of the best top lines in the league. If the chemistry is thriving, why ruin it?

  4. Bad trade for the Flyers all around, I like Johnny hockey but that guy sucks when it comes to the playoffs.. we need more playoff producers not regular season scorers

  5. The only Flyer the Flames should target is Carter Hart, otherwise there's no trade here at all IMO.

  6. What’s the problem with The I love You comments. Do they think they’re funny. Man get a life

  7. Jimmy Hayes is becoming as good an "insider" as he was a winger. A 6' 5" creampuff that made Inga Hammastrom look like an enforcer by comparison.
He really needs to quit getting drunk and posting these silly trade ideas.

  8. As a flames fan TK a 1st or a top prospect needs to be added. I know TK is a good young player but Jonny is a top 15 talent in the league!

  9. I really like seeing Johnny play even though I like the oilers and I don't think this trade will go through.

  10. If you throw frost into the deal with gostisbehere konecny to the flames for gaudreau kylington jankowski. Flames dont need voracek he is 31 and to expensive at 8 million dollars 2024

  11. Treliving wants a gritty guy like Kadri and Konecny is a similar player to him so he’d be in the deal

  12. I don't think that trade would go though unless Flyers eat some of Voracek's Contract or take some more contract away from the flames. Johnny, Lucic, one of this years thirds for Voracek, Ghost, and a prospect or 2/pick?

  13. Flames don’t have the cap room for both. And our window to win is the next 1-2 years realistically with this core. I don’t see why Calgary wants to get slower and have less cap room. I’d be interested after next year what happens. I think if Johnny gets dished it’ll be after another let down in 5 on 5 playoff hockey

  14. No way in hell Calgary makes that deal. Voracek will be an anchor contract in 2 years and Ghost will be on waivers before long.
