NHL Fans are SHOOK

The Edmonton Oilers continue to roll, and there’s stats now that prove you just can’t make up what an unreal turn around the Edmonton Oilers have had.

  1. Vancouver cameback and beat Columubus last night. whoptee la dee da. its was only the Blue Jackets. doesn't count, right. we can do that too.

  2. the hockey gods are with us pure and simple. as far as the nhl is concerned they hit the jackpot if they market this big time with superbowl happening at the same week.

  3. What's to say the 90's pittsburgh team didn't have it easier they only has half the teams to play so, maybe they had it easier. If it was easy more teams would be doing it right?

  4. Need to just focus on the positive
Edmonton won 16 in a row against NHL hockey teams second best streak of all time! We just need to stop defending the streak just smile and carry on! The streak speaks for itself

  5. I don't believe Coffey's getting enough credit…..I often thought Manson must suck as a coach….the GAA isn't always entirely the goalies fault if the D blows and the proof is in the pudding….look at the goals against over the last 32 games now that the defence have been "tuned up"!

  6. Not to mention the oilers still have games in hand on Vancouver and Vegas, both of whom have benefited from the Bettman point

  7. If every Oiler player tucks a goal against the Knights, people will still chirp. No matter what, people chirp the Oilers. They're just jealous of our future projection. It's them grieving the lackluster realities of their own team(s) driving their hate

  8. Here is something we need to acknowledge…and I’m gonna be as delusional as a leafs fan here for a second…

Success breeds success. Players want to be a part of success. Players are willing to take sacrifices on contracts for success. When you are unsuccessful as we have been in the past, players can come to town and bend us over a barrel with their contracts.

Let’s say this run continues, and we lose a few like we did after the 8 game streak, but then continue largely winning. Let’s say we go to the cup final this year. Let’s say we win the whole thing this year…success like this would give our board room the tools it needs to turn the core we have into a dynasty team.

I’m being as delusional as a habs fan, but for some reason it appears the gods are finally smiling on Edmonton again, and it might just be our time to not only bring the cup home, but return to being the team the whole league feared.

  9. Its just copium thats all. So many band wagon jumpers have built their entire identity on oilers hate. And now, their AI generated thought patterns are suffering a 404 error code because they're running out of ways to hate. If the teams they are supporting this year were on the same sort of heater? It wouldnt matter if they played Anaheim, and San Jose for all 16 games, they'd immediately anoint said team as the greatest in history. It's not even worth worrying over, just bring on Vegas baby!

  10. Oilers still have to make a Goalie move, Skinner is playing well but being one goalie deep will take a ton of luck to avoid injuries etc. Pickard can win 10 more games and he's still not even a NHL back up.

  11. I'm an Oiler fan from way back. What I'd like to see is ANY Canadian team win the cup again. I remember when Pocklington sold Gretz for 19 million dollars and It was then and there that I stopped watching hockey for nearly 30 years because I could see how corrupt it was. The Habs won the cup in like 93 or something and that's the last time a Canadian team has won our sports award. I don't think we'll ever see the cup back home ever again.

  12. As soon as the win streak ends , the haters will be out in force saying , these guys are pretenders and will be on the golf course early. 😂

  13. Oilers have made big changes… two of them. A new coach & committing to Skinner he alone is the #1 goalie this year. The only huge change between Kris & Jay in coaching games is Jay was committed to having goalies equally split starts & Kris is committed to having only 1 goalie start 80% of the games.

  14. One of your minor changes is the coach. It's usually the coach who demands defensive responsibility. In visiting your site I rarely see so much complaining about winning. I hope that the Oilers continue their winning ways but leave aside the fantasy leagues and all the different ways of betting and watch the talented athletes win. Most of them know it's a long season and should be approached as a marathon, not a sprint. Marvel at the streak and rejoice.

  15. A legendary winning streak and only 4 points gained compared to Vancouver in the same span. That catastrophe of a start is haunting.
