    I didn't like this deal at first but if you can get him for a 2nd or 3rd+prospect he only makes 1.9m and will be less as paid by deadline.
    Might not fit top6 but Chevy likes cheap multi use players. It still could let us make a move for dman like tanev or include a guy like Savard get shopping done one place.

    Having another guy like Namestnikov is what Monahan would bring and even if our roster looks like this the depth matters come playoffs ehlers or another player in past always get hurt this would allow a suitable replacement
