Is this not a normal thing? In bands everywhere near me our schools are small so we have football players and cheerleaders that play in the halftime show and even some of the colorguard people play with us in the stands!
We have a few kids on our team where they have football too. It was really confusing in the beginning because I was like โwhy are they getting fitted for uniforms when they wonโt be wearing them?โ And then I realized that they have competitions rooms. Same thing happened with cheer.

We had a couple of these guys at WC back in the day. They swore marching was harder than playing football.
