Hi, Josh, Jesse & Friends.
Wow, I had a stroke. I can't believe Gallagher did that. I've been making excuses for him all season, but there's no excuse for that ugly hit. He deserves to be suspended. If it wasn't for the confidence of this whole team. We would have been screwed. Props to Monty, Monahan and the whole team overall. Slaf’s second fight was great. He's even improving with that. Lol! Monty was just amazing. What a recovery from his last game. Sadly if I have to say one other negative thing. It’s that I noticed a lot of the time Xhekaj would knock a player down. Then he would still give an extra shot or two while the opposing player was already on the ice. He doesn’t even try to hide it from the refs. The second penalty he got. The play was already over when he knocked the Islander player over. That worries me. I’m still getting his jersey next though. Love him! 😂🎉🤪
Bro, this is the 4th time this season Gallagher has taken late penalties. We've lost 2 games and it's a miracle we haven't lost more.
He is such a liability.
How many suspension games should Gallagher get?
💯🏒🥅
I was at the game, GO HABS GO and thank god monaham hasn’t been traded yet
All the things that Jesse said about Slaf is what I've been saying since the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, some people in this group laughed at me and said I was "delusional". I said he was going to be a "force to be reckoned with" and now that Jesse has echoed my sentiment, I wonder…who's laughing now? The boy is going to be a freaking TRUCK on the ice in the not-so-distant future.
As for Gallagher…wow. That was so unlike him but like Josh and others have stated…it going to be a long suspension but it'll be necessary. Gally needs to reign in those elbows. I'm hoping that this will be a "one-off" isolated incident. Cost us 2 freaking goals, for Christ's sake. We didn't need that shit.
I still don't like the Slafkovsky demotion. Monty was awesome and good all around effort from most. Gally needs to brighten up and deserves to be suspended for that stupid hit. Monahan is looking great.
Whether to keep or trade Monahan will be a very difficult decision. I hope he stays in Montreal. Maybe Montreal will open the bank for him. His absence will leave a gaping hole in the Habs lineup.
That was the Monahan show! his trade value is getting better and better, love it!!
Let's keep moneyhands. Help build the team . Ghg!😊
A bit of a bad moment? 😂😂 THAT WAS HORRIBLE! Gallagher delivers a SUPER DIRTY hit and almost costs us the game… He’s a Rat and I respect what he has done for the Habs and gave everything he’s had, But he’s a rat and I don’t respect him going forward, Habs players are not dirty and that was uncalled for… If I was Kent Hughes I would be paying Chicago to take his contract. We have soooo much draft capital I would consider sending some assets to move his contract… Maybe it’s not possible now but when it is I would do it ASAP.
I must admit a large part of me was hoping the Isles would win tonight. All that's left that matters for this NHL season is that the Leafs don't win the Cup. And hopefully even miss the playoffs altogether. So 2 points for the Isles would be just fine by me, But then, the puck drops and the guys in the CH start battling, and I'm cheering for the Habs like it's game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.
Suzuki is still by far our best all-around player. I know he's a bit of an ugly minus, but that's because of the assignments he gets against the other teams' top lines. He's a gem, He'll win the Selke at some point.
I remember at the start of the season our PP being a large issue. To me its the reason why we win. We have such good possesion game on it and have great shooters. I see that as a win. Monahan though? I want to keep him but if theres enough on the table like Holtz then im sorry he has to go. I think the offer for him will be high though. Anderson with a 5.5m contract was offered a 1st and that was too low. Imagine what Monahan could get?
I know his numbers even after having 6 goals 2 assists in his last 7 games arent great but Caufield looks like his best self. He scored a beauty tonight and I feel like gets a hattrick chance every game. He honestly could become a superstar. I hope he can man. Hes back to playing like sniper Goal Caufield and not doing too much.
Monahan has 2 goals 4 assists in his last 3 games. I know its crazy but he looks like his prime self to me. Hes just not on line 1 right now. If Suzuki got hurt and he stepped up to the 1st line id argue hed have more of an offensive impact then Suzuki. Even if you want a larger sample size he has 12 points in 10 games where the Habs have been awful and hes been in a middle 6 role.
Monahan has 12 points in his last 10 games, 9 in his last five. Heating up at rhe perfect time, could be a bidding war for him
LOL THE HABS OUTSHOT OUT PLAYED AND YOU GUYS THIK ITS GOOD LOL YOU GUYS HAVE NO CLUE
We need to keep Monahan
I stated about a month ago Monahan has been the best forward on the team aside from a 4-5 game slide he played poorly but the rest of the year he has been solid.
Monahan was great again as well. There was some good hockey tonight Cole was MUCH better digging for pucks going to the net he played as good as I have ever seen him play.I am just so glad Cole is no longer just hanging out in the deep corner WAITING for a one time he is actually playing hockey…/grats.
Newhook has never played well he is part of the same problem of too much perimeter play I like the version of the Habs I saw tonight and want to see more of that.
