Goalies are getting injured, Campbell is playing well. If a contender, suddenly needs a goalie, he is definitely the cheapest option anybody is going to find, 7th round pick just so the league will let the trade happen.

Why not see if Campbell can play himself back into an asset, instead of packaging him with a 1st Round pick to give to some team for cap space. If he plays well enough, he could be useful as either a depth goalie, or might cost nothing to trade away in the off-season. I remember Oilers Fanatic and so many other pundits wanting to blow up the team in November. Sometimes you gotta admire your bird in the hand. Didn't many of these pundits demand to trade Broberg, Hollaway and two first for Chychrun?
There's something very poetic about Gagner being back, if we manage to win the cup it just feels like it's all come full circle as he was one of our first higher draft picks.
First off, thank you Patrick for your daily Oil news feeds. I'm from New Zealand, now living in Oil Country, we don't have Ice Hockey as a major sport in NZ, so I'm relatively new to the sport (first game I ever saw was Oil Kings vs Red Deer Rebels December 2016) and have been addicted since. I'm biased towards Eberle as he was a part of the team when I first started watching a real team playing hockey, that and he has good chemistry with most of the current players…. especially Nuge. I definitely celebrated a bit too hard when I heard Gags was coming back…. so I'm not sure how crazy I will go if they were to pull off an Eberle return.
I don't think it's possible or viable for us to trade for a top 6 winger. Right now, it is foegles to lose as he's earned it. Plus our cap is to tight. Gotta see how Campbell continues to play then after Allstars break and maybe make a trade. Honestly think blackwood is the best target. They can take campbells cap dump. And getting a .900sv% goalie under contract for 2 years would be super ideal

As for gentzel, Eberle and Perron, Eberle would be a nice choice as he did well for us back in the day and still does pretty good( he played well in the oilers Seattle game the other day) . I have seen Gentzel and not to sure yet about him.
Why would we bring Eberle back? He still plays the same way as when we sent him packing. Occasional really good game,many average and absolutely no energy if it not against a top team. No thanks.
DO NOT change anything else most free agents are a waste of cap space and trading away the future draft picks for some one to take Campbell is a very bad idea

Eberle and Perron feel like boys club trades, I wouldn’t hate it but I feel of the 3 Gentzel would be a good fit
