Absolutely on performance enhancers at stages in his 40's. But he gets in the hall of fame no problem. Such a sham
Rickey knew it was coming too, might be the hardest man to strike out
"If he ain't strike you out, then you nobody."
Nolan's like, "Yeah, yeah, thanks, but come on, I got a game to finish here."
Nolan Ryan was on a whole other planet.
Still the only pitcher to ever reach that mark. And he probably will be for a very long time.
Never cared for Nolan Ryan
I will always remember this day. I drove for a charter bus company then and had a load of people that I took to Pala Duro Canyon at Canyon, Texas to see the play
"Oklahoma". Someone had a radio with them out in the concession area and we listened to it while the play was going on.
GOAT
He’s the only man to reach 5,000 strikeouts & he still had almost another 1,000 left in him. Nolan wasn’t mortal.
Catcher runs out like game is over. Lol
Show me all the stats you want about Maddux and Pedro….Nolan is the best there ever was or will be.
Some records in sport will never be broken. This is one of them.
It was Rickey?
😮
I like how he's so business first even when making history
The best.
I was there! WAY out in the right-centerfield bleachers and, even there, you could hear that catcher's mitt pop all night.
wow, amazing……a record that will never be broken just like Dimaggio's 56-game hit streak. What blows me away was the fact that Nolan maintain that high velocity well into his 40's……….. just a phenom and in my opinion, the greatest pitcher of all time.
Hitters spend …well used to spend more time adjusting themselves in between pitches than Ryan did celebrated breaking insane records.
Nolan Ryan. As Texan as they come. What a real man.
