I just think it would be quite odd that a rumor of us wanting trade Mcleod would be harshly shut down by Fitz and it would then come out that he IS involved in this shortly after.
Folks around the league probably have a pretty good idea of the 5 players involved. I’m just having trouble thinking of how that trade rumor would have even become a thing if people in the know also know he is connected to this.

Isn’t it more than odd that in the last 24 hours, 3 people have taken leaves of absences from their respective clubs (Hart, Dube, Formenton) and two others Foote (who is barely an NHLer) and McLeod are absent from team functions and team skate the day the report comes out that 5 guys have to surrender?
Notice how Makar or Batherson or others aren’t absent from practice? Wouldn’t they be facing a media shit storm?? If you have nothing to hide, you face the music and answer whatever questions you can.
We cannot say for sure these 5 are guilty until they drop names but boy oh boy the timing of everything is more than a little coincidental. It’s not looking good

Also being charged with something does not make a person guilty, so let’s cool it with the worst case speculations. Obviously it doesn’t look good but it’s entirely possible that some of the people involved were involved in more minor roles, similar to negligence charges.
