Timmins fast Gio slow. That’s it.
Timmins played a good game. Gio has been decent for us since signing initially but the guy is 40. He isn’t physically completely gone but he’s obviously old and not that effective anymore
Gio is old and needs rest. We should be managing his games played. No back to backs at the very least.
Gio has been awful for us. That’s all there is to it
Timmins may not be pretty, but the numbers don’t lie. He wins his minutes handily.
Little upside to this is he wasn’t involved in the London investigation.
What ever happened to Lagessen? I thought he was pretty decent as a 3rd pairing option.
Considering Timmins was on the 2018 team, I am super stoked to see this
Lagesson should be drawing in instead but sure, sitting gio is the correct decision here

The good news is Connor Timmins isn’t making a road trip to London, Ontario today.
Atta boy Keefe! Don’t throw gio under a bus and just admit he’s been awful and timmins is the better choice right now

Obviously Keefe respects Gio because this is a super polite way of saying Gio’s been such dogshit that Timmins is a viable option.
This is also a show of confidence for Benoit to keep him in there. He has been a welcome surprise this season.
