TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron joins That’s Hockey to discuss if it’s the right decision to go with Ilya Samsonov for a second straight game, who is the odd man out in the Leafs’ net when Joseph Woll returns, and whether Toronto needs to be prepared to get inconsistent production from captain John Tavares who is climbing in age.

Mate they’ve had a Taveres problem ever since they signed him.
No, what we have is a media micro analysis problem
They don't have a Tavares problem, they have a defensive coverage problem
Only for one more year
The Leafs never needed John Tavares. What they needed then is exactly the same thing that they need now. Defense , until they fix the back end they wont make it past the 1st round of the playoffs.
They had a problem when they signed that massive contract.
They have a cap problem, Taveres salary problem, will never win with this group
Trade JT to a Sunbelt team. I'm sure his wife would enjoy a sunny retirement.
Sammi sammi
Leafs could move Tavares if he agrees to it by eating half his salary. they could then go spend that 5.5 to 6 mil elsewhere.
Tavares is overpaid hes old and slow hes never had darren helm/cale mckar type speed and him getting older wont make him any faster
jt too slow age is showing now just a liability on ice should buy him next year,he is getting slower
