    This next month and a half is going to be quite interesting. The only inter division game during that span is the Sens on Jan. 31. A ton of Western Conference games, where we’ve performed pretty well the last couple of seasons. These last 4 in January though will be tough. I’d love to get 5/8 points to end the month.

    i hope the thermostat in Benns room was broken so he had to sleep in freezing cold and walk around the rest of the day with a sore throat

    Only four games left before all-star break. Would be okay with just getting a point between Dallas and Vegas but Philadelphia and Ottawa are must wins IMO.

    Toledo Walleye are apparently outdrawing the Grifs in attendance this year. Has anyone been to a game? What’s the atmosphere like in Toledo?

    I’ve caught a couple of echl games over the past years and was amazed how far that league has come from a decade ago. Still a far cry from the AHL/NHL, but the hockey quality is light years ahead of what it was in the 1990s or early 2000s.

    This years random player I have been enjoying watching/have been impressed with:

    Owen Tippett – this dude has been awesome for the Flyers this year. Super fast skater and I think he’s just a likeable dude.

    It’s been so long since Ive paid attention to standings throughout the season; it’s making me a better hockey fan in general. Watched a chunk of the panthers game, cheering for the preds. Ive never really watched neutral games during the regular season…it’s cool to hear the different broadcasters and learn 2 teams at once. It helps that Im in the middle of nowhere…it’s either watch sports or read.

    We have about 3 games against teams not in the hunt for the playoffs in January and February. This is a tough stretch.
