Lehky will do more to help the defensive woes than Byram will.
assuming health, here's how I see lines shaping up when Nuke gets back (with the usual Blendnar caveats):
Drouin – MacK – Mikko
Nuke – Johansen (or trade pick up) – Lehky
Wood – Colton – LOC
Cogs – Olofsson – Kiviranta
Malinski will for sure go back to the Eagles where he will play all situations and top pair minutes while being on standby for any call up necessary.
I really doubt they will trade any D during the season. Byram is likely to be dealt during the off season.
Any trade that they make in season will have to include RyJo going out, that's the only way they'll be able to make the money work.
I'm betting on either Monahan or Henrique are their targets for 2C

Can we please just trade Girard for depth? We didn’t learn our lesson last year? I wish him well but Nuk is frankly unreliable at this point. He flaked last postseason and who knows what will happen with his current issues. We won the cup without Girard and a clear 2C would be way more valuable than a fringe 2D.
I like the idea about Fleury. I think it would rejuvenate him to have the opportunity to win another cup.
Mittelstadt and Lindholm would be the slam-dunk 2C options, but Henrique, Monahan or Frost seem more the Avs style.
Staying with the nhl video game analogy the roaring 20s line is 100 percent a +5 lol I love that line so much. Malinski should go back down and then be a nhl regular next year,I just don't trust young defenseman in the playoffs unless that defensemans name is Makar.
Ps. Toews is Obi Wan, calm and steady and is quietly an expert at defense
