Florida earned that win. They outplayed us tonight with solid defense, even with all those power plays. Juice was on fire though!
Gross
50/50 chance, but we got the perds. Onto the next.
Ya this game should have been over in the first intermission if it wasn’t for Saros standing on his head.
I’m mad and disappointed….
I hate this team …. I can’t wait to watch them again later this week
Well, Lauzon and Juice played tonight. It would’ve been nice if they weren’t alone.
Alright Trotz, let’s see whatcha got in mind. Team needs a spark.
The Trenin, Smith, McCarron and Sherwood (esp in the top 6) experiment needs to end. Bring up Kemell/Afanasyev/Svech/L’Heureux
Well, that confirms it for me. Sell at the deadline.

Pessimistic ass rant incoming.
Well deserved loss. Florida had lost 4 straight so this loss felt inevitable as teams love to take their misery out on the Preds, but god damn this team is fucking terrible right now. They skate with 0 swagger and seem to hope and pray they win.
No one can score as they’re incredibly easy to defend, and they show absolutely no poise when trailing. They just seem give up on not only themselves, but each other. Just beyond brutal to watch. If we were losing while playing well, I’d be alright with it. These losses have had somewhat close scores lately, but they don’t pass the eye test, and that’s what I hate most.
Did we give up three goals in the third period 😐
I’m pissed that we can’t get saros any goal support rn like dudes doing everything except scoring rn,
Especially since he’s having a down year too
Now, I can’t say for certain because I haven’t watched every game but I don’t know that we’ve played a more lackadaisical game so far this season. That was just bad.
Great game from a Cats fan here! I came down from Chicago for the game and I’ll say y’all are the friendliest people I’ve been to a hockey game with. Didn’t get harassed like in Chicago lol. Definitely would love to come back.
I am just here to once again place my order for one Egor Afanasyev and one Spencer Stastney.
Florida was the better team. They’re a better version of the Preds. We had our shots but they were limiting a ton and they did a great job of breaking up our zone entries. They were giving up tons of power plays but we were barely able to get set up on any of them. This Preds team is also just really, really bad at converting chances. We get shots, and good ones, but can’t score them. We’re like a team of Cole Smiths.
Lauzon had a stupid good game and I don’t really mean his goal. Defensively he looks great. Strong stick, really good at breaking up plays and also hits hard. Anyone still mad we traded a 2nd for him?
Trenin had 12 minutes of ice time and 11 minutes of penalty time. Plus that’s the second time I’ve seen him not strap down his jersey. He’s feeling the pressure.
The short term success of this team is going to depend on Novak and Evangelista figuring out how to score more goals. Our bottom six is useless in that respect and if this team actually wants to compete in the playoffs, we need secondary scoring. It has to put Trotz in a weird position because our biggest need today is on wing but long term we’ve got a prospect pool of almost only wingers. Meanwhile our prospect pool is completely empty of good D and C talent.
I think the move is start shaking up the roster with AHL players and given them a couple of games in the Show. Send down some our of bottom 6 grinders. Sherwood first, McCarron, Gurinov, Smith in that order. Egor first, Kemell / L’heurheux, and you’ve always got Jankowski if you want a different grinder.
Trotz should make good on his earlier comment about call ups because they ain’t got that dawg in em right now
Sooo this is that retool you guys have been talking about huh
You know what this retool needs? A 10mm socket. Good luck Trotzy.
