  1. I totally disagree about Monahan's value. He is a solid 2nd (or 3rd) line center who is solid defensively, great on face-offs, and decent offensively. I would not take anything but a 1st round pick for him. Don't forget the kinds of players who have gone for 1sts before, including David Savard, Ryan Hartman, and plenty of others who are not as good as Monahan. Suggesting he might only get a 3rd and a B prospect is insane, in my opinion.

  2. I would sign Monahan 5.5 M for 6 y. Worst case he finishes his contract on LTIR. Those type of players don't come by often. Same kind of contract as Danault.

  3. Monahan's health risk is the same for all teams…he might get a bigger contract elsewhere, but not that much…Dvorak is NOT competition fro Monahan…
