Don’t let Bones hear you say that! I agree, face-offs are endlessly overrated. One or two bad draws have an impact per season and the coaches remember it forever…
Faceoffs are pretty critical in special teams situations. And whoever the 2C is, will likely be spending time on the PP and maybe PK.
In a 5 on 5 situation, yeah probably not.
But TBH, face off wins are the LEAST of our PP problems these days.
I’m really enjoying your work and I’m glad I subbed or whatever it’s called on Substack.
