If Perry is allowed back – given a second chance – I expect him to play like nothing before……….. He is exceptional. He's admitted contrition and realizes the magnitude. Any team would be lucky to have him…….
SO i am a Hawks fan, I know the Hawks have a bad history and are trying to keep things as far away from their past troubles as possible, But someone will have to explain What is bad enough to get you contract terminated, yet not bad enough for anything else to happen from the league? Even if it is not exactly what he did, the Blackhawks fan deserve to know where the line they will hold their players to is. It feels like a player got rewarded for doing something wrong and hurt the team he was playing for, and we don't know what happened.

Now instead of leading by example for Auston Matthews, one of the 2 or 3 best players in the world; he'll be doing it for Connor McDavid, the other 1st/2nd/3rd best player in the world. I hope the Oilers get it.
You said it right at the end, besides his on ice antics I believe he has to much baggage. A typical bad move by a GM thinking only one way, don't mess with the team chemistry. They have completely turned it around, now on the hot streak and this will be a sure way to break it down. They do not need any distractions now period.
Kane and Perry on the same line with a play maker down the middle would be great. Both cause all kinds of shit and they can both finish. That would be perfect for the playoffs
If I were the Oilers, I wouldn't play him until their winning streak ends. They have a good thing going right now, don't mess with it. If they lose 3-4 games in a row, then put him in and see how it goes.
Perry is old as fk, useless, and just a straight line to the penalty box. Maybe as a coach, but as a player, this is a lose-lose situation. Change my mind.
