  1. Heh Canucks are first overall and these guys say they’re not that good. the Canucks played terrible and still won. If leafs win this game these guys would be planning the parade. Canucks are a better team in better shape with a brighter future.

2 players in top 10 in scoring
    Top 5 goal scorer
    Top scoring defenseman
Top 10 goalie in all stats
    Highest scoring team
    Best goal differential
    Highest contract is 8 mill

    Not that good hahahaha

  2. Shanny needs to go as well..not taking the goaltending position seriously? Paying 5 million for 3 goalies? One you dragged through arbitration because you didn't even want to offer him up a contract🤣🤣

The Clown show is the Leafs Management so how can you blame Leafs goaltending

  3. Funny thing about goaltending in this game was that the 3 goals Demko gave up to let the Leafs back into it were terrible.

  4. Jones is starting to look tired and he's starting to come back down to earth.
When a goalie gets tired 90% of it is his ability to stay focused, once that starts to slip, your find yourself out of position just a little, and your timing is off just a little and react a quarter of a second too late, and that's enough to throw your whole game off.
The start of the game wasen't very good also for the Leafs. If they would have started better, they could of hung in there for a win, or at least a point.
Gotta give them props for not giving up after the first though, it would have been very easy for them to quit in that situation, but they didn't. They ended up making a game of it.

  5. Nutlesslander with 2 fluke goals, and 0 good games since the Leafs signed him to that garbage contract

  6. Rough night for Demko, and still can’t win. 😢
Seen Vancouvers rope a dope act is actually really effective. They get scoring on few chances, and goaltending when it matters. Many teams outplay them and lose. To me that’s a good sign for them. I know people will say the opposite but they’re actually built to sustain this style and when they DO have their A game, they control like they did vs NYR a couple weeks back. They should buy another scorer and if healthy, think they will have as good a chance as any Western club to come out of that conference tbh. What a turnaround!

  7. Who is worse: Liljegregn, Brodie, Gio, Bertuzzi, Domi, Knies, Holmberg, Jones, Samsanov, Robertson, Gregor, or Reaves? If you put that group on any teams roster I imagine they would also miss the playoffs. Legit that is an embarrassing group of players to have playing on a professional team. Of all the players I would say Knies is overrated the most. Guy will never be more than a third liner…at best. I am not convinced he will even be in the NHL 5 years from now. Samesfor Robertson, but he is no longer over valued.

  8. You can't blame Jones for the three in the first. Maybe the first one, but it was a close-in backhander, and those are hard to read. The second goal, Hoglander ripped it up in the very top corner. No one could stop that, given the way goalies play on their knees these days. And the third, Connor Garland sniped the top corner. Jones had had to play the puck but got back in position, was in good position except Garland pin-pointed the top corner. Again, no one stops those very top corner shots these days. So, no, those three goals, you can't blame Jones. Like someone else remarked, the three against Vancouver in the second were much worse.

  9. Hearing you all compare the Canucks to the Leafs and say "they're not worlds apart" is an absolute riot. In addition to great forwards, Vancouver has world-class goaltending, and a Norris caliber defenseman, neither of which Toronto does. The Leafs probably have more top-end talent up front, but the trade-off is that their team is top-heavy, has poor defense, and awful goaltending as a result. The Canucks are easily one of the best teams in the league, and they're a prime example of why you shouldn't spend all your cap on your forward group. You all either don't see this (which is alarming), or are willingly choosing to ignore it. Are the Canucks legit contenders? Who knows, but they are LIGHTYEARS ahead of Toronto.

  10. If you put Demko in the Leafs net, they still lose this game. The team infront of the 3RD STRING goalie is completely unmotivated and all the coach does is change up the lines and HOPES they score. Its not all on Keefe but you cant fire the players and the coach refuses to hold his stars accountable for their mistakes. Remember Demko let in a couple bad goals tonight too. This is a team problem tonight not just a goalie.

  11. The Islanders just fired head coach Lane Lambert and replaced him with the aggressive Patrick Roy! They will now likely make the playoffs.

The Leafs have sunk into fourth place with the Red Wings just one point behind.

Unless GM Brad “Stand Pat” Treliving does something drastic, they’re not going to make the playoffs.

    Time to finally trade local
boy Mitch Marner possibly to the Senators for defensemen Thomas Chabot and Jakob Chychrun and hope the returning goalie Joseph Woll will be better between the pipes.
