  1. Just kuzmenko on waivers and we can get the cap space back if he gets picked up.

  2. I am really happy that the Canucks are out of the forest. Finally, I want to see this every year. But, the other shoe is going to fall. This summer they are going to lose some value UFA pieces due to cap issues and high price resignings.
I just don’t see any cheap Abby players that can be comparable replacements. It can be easy to foresee a tumble down the standings next year and we are back to square one.

  3. Confidence is everything to wingers and there's plenty of time for Tocchet to rebuild Kuzmenko into a playoff version of himself, a version with a bit more grit and a bit more defensive awareness. And if he gets traded there's plenty of teams starved for scoring. It'll be easy to sell the narrative Kuzmenko needs a fresh start and can score 30 goals for you. I think Drance is just plain wrong if he thinks it'll be difficult to get value for the player. The team will not get peanuts in return; it'll be a satisfying trade. But still they should absolutely keep the player if possible because Tocchet knows what he's doing. He's met Kuzmenko personalities over the years a million times.

  4. Kuzmenko did look dangerous during that OT. Was hounding the puck, trying to score, etc.
This just reminds me of Boeser the previous 2 seasons…. it's not that he's slacking off or not trying, but it's like watching a BMW spinning its wheel on the icy roads of Metro Vancouver.

Not sure what the solution is…. but he definitely need to be paired with someone that's hot. I hate to break the Lotto line, but without a true legit secondary scoring line…. the Canucks might not make it far in the post-season.

  5. I'd put Miller with kuzy for a spell , he communicates on a line, a play driver and makes everyone he plays with better, of there's any player on canucks that can break kuzys funk its Miller.. Hoglander with petety and boeser and try it. Again I think miller's the guy to snap kuzy out of it

  6. I'm refusing to give up on Kuzmenko! We've seen him at his best, and it's pretty spectacular! I really hope he can find his game again. Tocchet needs to get over his biases.

  7. Why are you yelling. This guy knows little to nothing compared to the average fan. He's no expert that's for sure.

  8. So Drance tells us that Kuz can be that player if he is given good players to play with….he has been playing with Petey most of the year and he dragged Petey down to the worst we have seen petey look in all his time in Van. Face it Drance, you have been wrong about a lot of Canuck storylines, spinning things doesn't make you look like an 'expert', makes you look childish.

  9. Lol all you experts in the media scoffed at JRs structure comments. Being an articulate writer who can understand advanced stats doesnt mean you have good hockey mind.

  10. Watch Kuz's highlights from last year. It's night and day. He looked like freakin Bure! Fast, dynamic, accurate, quick release, no quit, net front , wanted every puck. This year he floats, waits to shoot, too slow, perimeter player, etc. Either Bali messed him up or maybe that puck to the face shook him. Its odd..

  11. Why I Like this team like I loved the 94 team is they will answer a fist with a fist not a fist with a turtle under the guise of we will make them pay on the PP like the 2011 team. Like they spent every game just trying to get power plays. Bure reminds me of Petey. Petey stands up for himself unlike the Sedins. Not in fighting but being a little dirty back. The 94 team was nastry. Diduck would punch you in the face for trying to go around him. I would rather win games 5 on 5. I hated all the diving on the 2011 team.

  12. What's worrisome? Allvin/Rutherford are batting 1000 on the trade front. Bound to loose one. Hope it's not a big swing one between now and the deadline.

  13. Kuzmenko is a quality finisher, im not sure he has the defensive awareness to get more opportunity when other wingers are finishing with less. Hes only a point up on Hoglander who sees 3 and a half minutes less ice per game.Garland sees 1 min less ice per game and has 2 more points.

Kuzmenko may bounce back, likely will even, but hes a luxury item for the Canucks. If they can get a longer term piece on defense to replace Myers for next season and be additional help for the playoffs where D hets beat up then im all for it.

This teams problem certainly isnt scoring

  14. It’s not possible for the Canucks to be this good…there is something fishy happening…just not possible

  15. I was so angry with the firing of Boudreau and losing out on Bedard. But Rutherford saw something in Tocchet (plus everyone is surprised by how well things have gone) that I’m willing to hold my criticism for now.

Of course, if they collapse at the beginning of next season…

  16. wait when i'm on nucks twitter all i hear is how drancer hates the nucks and how negative he is all the time??
