You’re dreaming if Leafs fans wouldn’t have wanted to burn the place down if it had been them on the receiving end.

Correct call at the end of the day. Leaf fans are the biggest hypocrites known to man. Either way NHL is turning into NFL of 5 years ago with all these replays. Yeah they gotta get it right, no they don’t gotta give them unlimited (I know it’s not) amount of time to review and look at it before even choosing to challenge

They still talk about 2004 what makes anyone think we won’t hear about this for the next 20 years.

Yeah we understand it was technically the correct call but the reason were upset is because they took a timeout in order to review the tape and challenge the call. I’m pretty sure the referees have the right to deny the review of the play if they take to long or delay the game in order to challenge a call.
Not to mention I’m pretty sure most fan bases would not be happy if they got this called back on them. The rule should be changed as Coleman clearly did not intently pass the puck with his glove, ruins the flow of the game.

It sucks but it was the right call unfortunately.

I wish they would take reviews for offside and hand-pass out completely. Keep it for high-sticking and determination of if the puck crossed the line and that’s it.

How about the right call on Blake Coleman on May 26, 2022

I just want consistency in the hand pass calls. A Nashville player scored on us earlier in the year while having a fully closed hand on the puck, but it counted because that part of the play “wasn’t reviewable” 🙃
Is it even conclusive that what Coleman did was a hand pass? He reached for it and it deflected off his hand. I can’t see that as a conclusive hand pass (especially when it was already a good goal, there should’ve been onus to prove otherwise).

That’s their sub all the time it seems like. Everytime a post from there is recommended to me it’s them whining about the refs.

Looks like Leafs fans before the game.

Curious….how far back in time can a goal be challenged?
Can a hand pass be reviewed if it happened 2 minutes prior to the goal?

The real pissy ones (including me) are in Seattle, trying to figure out how the fuck a goal is overturned for offside when the guy in question is changing.

OP is a Nashville fan so everybody just chill they’re upset and lashing out due to their organization’s 25 years of mediocrity and catfish tossing 🤣🤣

Disallowed goals is a touch subject for these folks… Can’t say I really blame them. I thought they got both reviews right, by the letter of the law. But honestly I think the hand pass rule, like the offside review is kind of corny. There should be some kind of statute of limitations on how far before the actual goal scoring sequence you can go back and correct.

Let’s be fair.
Every subreddit would react similar if it had happened to their team.

The audacity of a Preds fan to post about this after Forsberg grabbed the puck, threw it over the net and then slashed Markstrom in the shoulder, before his teammate scored.

Man I always forget Nashville even exists.

I’d say it was a very weak call and shouldn’t have over turned a goal and I’m an Oilers fan

Funny, if it had happened the other way around, I wonder how the Leafs subreddit would look today 😂
