Good O numbers but our boy Juraj’s got that BOOM on Jack, for sure.
Slaf is next Jack Hughes confirmed. Let’s goooooo!
Everybody doing the Hughes comp because first overall but I think the actual trajectory we’re hoping for Slaf is closer to Quinton Byfield – much more similar player
Slaf hits and penalty minutes tho. Also slaf killed a person once too
He does so many little things well He already is very responsible with and without the puck, he grinds the opposing d-men down. He’s like a Josh Anderson but with elite hockey sense and offensive skills. Very very rare type of player
Slaf is so much more physical. Not the same game being played by him and Hughes. Hughes is more a Pacorietty style shooter and Slaf is power forward, which is w we need, as do most teams.
About Hughes’ production since: NJ has a deep group of young forwards and their offense comes in waves at speed, even on the bottom 6 lines. That helps everybody’s production by dividing coverage and tiring the other team out.
We can only hope Slaf gets to have that sort of surrounding cast too. Some other really skilled, speedy, dangerous forwards beyond Dach & Newhook.
Considering the linemates slaf had for the first half of thos 82 and the minutes he was playing it’s not too bad at all.
