I said this after the devil’s first preseason game that toffoli played, everyone thought the devils dominated that trade with Sharon Govich, but me. TT Was never going to be a good fit within our system being that all our system is is speed. I love Tom Fitzgerald, but this trade made no sense because we controlled Sharon Govich and could have had a $3 million contract for the next 3 to 4 years with a young, fast player that not only can score 20 goals, a season, but also dominates the penalty kill. Instead, we got a $4.5 million player for one year that slows us down
What is crazy about the number of back-to-back the Devils have, is that some of them are back to backs home and away, which is absolutely insane to me. If they missed the playoffs by two or four points, they should sue the league because that is a difference.
