To be fair though Steve, that top line for the Oilers is just something else when they get going. It's like not the NHL It's like another league. It's next level kinda stuff ya know?
I will be only slightly guilty-feeling about the glee I will feel if the Leafs are pushed into a wild card spot by Vancouver…
At this rate I'm thinking that the Leafs missing the playoffs is the best long term outcome for the team. Let's face it, we're no where near where we need to be to compete for the cup this season, so at least the missing playoffs would force real change.

Yeah the Oilers camera does seem a lot closer to the ice. Just like the Dallas Stars.

Steve…I agree with you 100%…rather than sign Nylander, should of waited and see what defence you could of got for the play-offs….signing Nylander is really putting the Team in a tough spot when Marner contract comes up…we are doomed…no more cap space
💩The Oilers are the dirtiest team the Leafs have played all year, in fact, dirtier than any team in last year's playoffs. Every 30 seconds the Oilers are crosschecking from behind, knocking players over, or slashing the stick out of their hands, and no call. So it's pretty easy to see why they would win 10 games in a row when the fix is in like that.
After almost 60 years of watching the NHL, this game is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. Last game, same issue… so many "non calls" on the OTHER team (like the cross check to Matthews), but when the leafs do it, hell, might as well be a game misconduct. It's starting to look like wrestling where the fix is in long before the game is played.
The NHL has no integrity and it's just become too ridiculous and frustrating to watch (either due to the players, the management, or the refs… take your pick on any given night). The toxicity level is just off the charts. ☣Fate had already decided for me that this would be my last season watching hockey, but I can't even watch the rest of the season, certainly not like this. I may not be around to see it, but I sure hope one day in the near future the NHL shows some integrity and becomes a league worthy of watching. But for me, I'm signing off. Rock on, Peeps!🤘🏻

Brodie has to sit. He's playing wayyyy to many minutes to be such a non-factor. And as bad as the defense is – and it is bad – the offense needs to be much more consistent. Only 4+ goals in 2 of last 9 games. And nice message to send to your rookie player who has battled all season and shows real promise of becoming a star. The message? When you take a cheap shot, cross check after the whistle, nobody has your back.

Berube is the Leaf coach after the All-Star break, count on it. And it won’t matter, Leaf fans think that he can recreate the magic of 2019 with St. Louis , won’t happen, because the Leafs are not a gritty team like St. Louis was.
