Wow, what a complete game by everyone. Now I don’t want to trade Allen. I’m going to miss him. Lol! I change my mind after every game. It all depends on who just played. One thing I’m pissed about is I didn’t know the referees signed a deal to be the Canadiens opposing team's sixth player. They seem to be calling a lot of phantom penalties against us. We need to be able to start giving the refs penalties for fake calls and missed ones also. Although they still can’t stop us. 😂💥🔥

Caufield is definitely playing his best hockey of the season recently. He has a bit of his swagger back. And Slaf just keeps stradily improving. And Suzuki is so strong on the boards. But the biggest difference I see in this edition of the Habs is that they WIN KEY FACEOFFS. We couldn't buy a key faceoff win last year.
Another quietly solid game by my boy Harris tonight. I even didn't mind his penalty. Great to send the message to opposing forwards who eye him up, see he's on the smalller side, and try to slam him into the boards, that if they do that they can expect to take a sneaky elbow to the chops!!! A bit of scrappiness is necessary for a guy his size. Keeps big wingers who may try to run him honest.
If Cole can get to 30 goals after his first half I think it would be a success especially when he probably has not truly 100% recovered yet from his surgery. Slaf improvement is definitely encouraging. The main issue is still the shortage of top end offensive talent in the organization but we will hopefully be able to address that in coming seasons either via draft, trade or free agency.
What a game played by Montreal on line 1 and Allen. I feel like Allen played well but has a hard time with point shots. Still a win is a win!
Without SlafCaufZuki we lose this game imo. The other lines didn't really drive the play like they did. Armia Monahan Roy wasn't bad but nothing spectacular.
Caufield looks like himself from the 22-23 season. I dont know if Marty told him to do but he looks like the 40-50 goal guy again. Maybe he was trying to do too much?
Slaf had a brilliant game today. He was very good offensively for the team and really worked for his goal. If gets more Grit into his game which I think he will he soon will become a favorite.
And Kudos to our PK for a change. Great work by Evans and RHP especially. And Monahan winning his draws. And even our D doing a great job boxing out guys in front and blocking shots!
Leafsnet is the last thing you wanna listen to if you're looking for Habs news.
Sportsnet commentators are anti Habs. They give so much commentary about the habs' opponent and rarely talk about the habs no matter who the Habs are playing.

The second period was hard to view as the Avs were in the Habs end for a number of endless cycles. The guys got it together later and fought to win
Making good trades is hard. It takes two teams, or sometimes three. It may happen, or not. I am sure management is trying to find suitable trades involving a number of players, and one ir two may happen.

You have literally nothing to gain by showing your cards. Hughes knows that. It’s that simple. Plus, he isn’t gonna take a deal just to take a deal, so if nothing good comes along and he winds up keeping all the D-men or all three goalies, he doesn’t have any backtracking to do. GMs who talk a lot *cough cough Brian Burke* don’t do anything smart very often.
Also Sportsnet has consistently been rubish and their "experts" – well basically all they do is maybe look at production of players, they know absolute sh.. about real ice hockey (and the other sports), these are mostly just people who got there because they simply can sell the dung coming out of their mouths. Its just people who cant really do anything but talk rubish, just ignore them, but good that you mentioned them as it shows the real Habs community knows better anyway.

25 1 goal games. We have been close in most of our games. The fact were a .500 team this early is very suprising. Slaf looks like a beast. Armia might actually be a 20-30 goal guy. And even shots?! The Habs usually play a game where they avoid shooting just to shoot and still were tied with a top 5 team. I say they finish around the Flames spot this year. Maybe a little worse. Not bad though Go Habs fans! You deserve it after 21.
So whats Slaf's celing? Hes 19!!!! I know hes a 1st overall pick playing 1st line minutes with Caufield and Suzuki but still. He drove the net for his goal tonight and is carrying his own weight. I think that people fail to realize how a 19 year old shows this much effort every game and consistently. If his skating reaches a elite level dare I say he scores 100 points? Its not impossible considering he will play with a 40 goal guy and ppg Selkie guy.
Kent Hughes is slowly but surely turning Montreal into the ultimate hockey mecca. We are in goood fucking hands fellas, this man is deeply competent.

I haven’t seen Juraj Slafkovsky get hit bad in so long and if he has it wasn’t that bad cause I didn’t notice it lmao, He’s stronger, More agile, Strong on his stick, Puck protection is getting better and better, He’s shooting more, Getting to the right spots… He’s improving everywhere I don’t know what these broadcasters are smoking but they need to quit…. Caufield looks like he’s either healthy I’m not sure if he was fighting a small injury or he has more confidence in his shoulder and it took him a little bit to get some confidence coming back from and injury like that…. His playmaking has improved all season, Recently it looks like his shot is back, Moving to the middle of the ice more and defensively he’s improved massively, Suzuki is an absolute beast I don’t wanna hear that he’s not a number 1 Center anymore… Not every number 1 Center has to be an offensive juggernaut, It took 5-6 seasons for Alexander Barkov to really come into the player he was touted as, Suzuki is still growing and I believe he will be a 75-85 point Center consistently 2 seasons from now while being amazing defensively… if Caufield also scores more and Lane Hutson grows into the player he can be along with Slaf growing into the player he can be Suzuki may even have a 90 point season in his NHL career…. Suzuki is a Number 1 Center in my book…
