Once again I tune in to see the Stars ranked WAY lower than they should be. Do you really think that there are 11 teams that are better than the Stars? It's ridiculous…. every year I have to correct you and every year you seem to forget that they're a top 4 team in the league. No Shannon… the Kings are not better than the Stars. Neither are the Flyers. I can go on but the point is that they're going to probably win the Cup this year and somehow SHOCK AND SURPRISE THE WORLD!!! In reality, they're severely underrated by the media and by hockey fans on a daily basis. Don't be like them, Shannon…. if you have to… overrate your team and stick with them until the end instead of disrespecting them like everyone else. It's annoying at this point and I don't care how mean I have to seem in order to get this point across
Canucks are just, too elite. They need a higher league so they can play in that one.

As much as I love the puck board, I can’t imagine trying to move that to a different part of the house. Doesn’t exactly look light.
We've gone 3-1-1 against the top row the last two weeks but we're worse than Washington and Pittsburgh?? I won't argue with the third row but we should have at least moved up a spot or two
Based on how the Habs have played against SJ they should've dropped three spots for that alone… Hurts my Habs fan heart to say this… But then again, I've said it at the beginning of the season and I'm proven right again: what's the true potential of a healthy Habs team? Nobody knows because there's (AGAIN) so many injuries… The entire second line is decimated, let that sink in…. Are they mid to top of the 3rd row if they're healthy? Methinks it would look like that…

On December 29th the Bruins were 5th in the NHL standings. That was the only day they have not been in the top 4 in the league since the 3rd game of their season. These power rankings are hard to reconcile with what actually is happening in the League. When was the last time the Bruins were in your top 4? The Bruins have been consistently under valued in your rankings.

Shannon, I love your take on the NHL but I’m sorry you can pay someone 11 million dollars and they still aren’t a good team. The Flyers play like a real team. Toronto plays like a bunch of rich guys that don’t care if they win.

I woke up Saturday morning and i said to myself if the Canucks win and the jets lose today for the first time ever THG will probably put the Canucks for the first time ever, in the number 1 spot. And he didn't disappoint. As soon as i got the notification i watched the video with great anticipation. Never thought id see the day.

Are you in AB? I know everywhere is having quite the cold snap but AB definitely got some of the worst of it! A bit scary last night with the possibility of intermittent power outages… I don’t live there (anymore) but my sister does.
It was -10c on Vancouver Island. I know that’s nothing compared to the -40c/-50c with the windchill on the prairies but it’s definitely not temperatures most of us are used to. Our heat pump was on the struggle bus.
All that to say – stay safe & stay warm! Stoked to see the Canucks on top. The game with Pittsburg was SO entertaining & the Rangers win was very satisfying.
I want to say just how happy I am that I can even think for a second that you're wrong and the Flyers are too LOW on your board. Coming in to this season, I thought if they can get over 24 on the board sometimes, that'd be fun. So while I think they're better than 10, it's outrageous that I even get to say that with a straight face. So I'll take it.

The Canucks are legit
I really don't want to see the Canucks getting into cap issues before they've signed Pettersson. I know they are buyers this trade deadline, but I don't want another repeat of the Benning era with bad trades and bad contracts that could potentially cost the team with their #1 C.
As a Sens fan, I think they are overrated in this power ranking!
As a Jets fan, I agree. They were flat at points, Ersson was very good. Not having our two best offensive talents out there hurt with Scheifele and Connor.
