Not only was Daws great tonight, but they played a much more simple and disciplined game of hockey tonight, which resulted in better defensive play despite Luke not having his best game. I'm convinced the Devils biggest issue is coaching, well that and they need to pick up a veteran goaltender. But I believe the defense is fine, just young, it'll grow, and Miller is a great addition.
Ducks were in WAY over their head against Tampa experience-wise. Any Anaheim fan who thought we could pull out a win here is kidding themselves
As a wings fan who had limited excitement for acquiring kane…. hes freakin amazing. Last night he showed hes still got speed too. Havent saw that kind of elite flashy style *in Detroit since datsyuk
Watch the Tampa highlights. Big check by EMIL MARTINSEN LILLEBERG. Old school hit by our rookie. announcer said it looked like Rob Blake or Scott Steven’s
Don’t worry about the that dread of going to OT with the Blues. The refs had the Bruins back. Wouldn’t want the TRIP to St. Louis be worth less than TWO points. Gotta sweep the LEGS out from the Blues multiple comebacks.
What a joke.
Hello Puckheads!
Hockey all day yesterday and I was .500 (8-8) for a Saturday – not great, but meh.
On the other side of the ledger, @lier0, @seanmccarthy7323, @terranholmes1158, and @TrentKS were a fantastic 13-3 to lead the crew!
Overall, 350-269-49 for me and @predyperdy6787 still leads with a 363-256-49 record.
Boston won because of a missed tripping call. 🤷♂️
Anaheim was in that game until the second. Tampa going 3/3 on power plays (2 of which seemed like iffy calls) was definitely demoralizing and they couldn’t recover
We just gonna ignore the trip by Boston in OT that lead to the goal? The refs sure did…
Never a dull moment with Raanta in net… 😃 …Sorry. He's got a lot more convincing to do. (Although I did appreciate his snag on Prince William.)…VGK needs a crash cart at this point. Credit Markstrom with a great game in net for Calgary, but this was a pretty convincing home loss for Vegas. Kings having a flameout month too. The Pacific may flip over completely…What more can be said about Demko? Holy crap!…
The whole atmosphere of the game between Tampa and Anaheim changed after that clean but brutal hit by Lilleberg on Leason. Hope Leason is "ok" but wow that was the game changer.
that picture is crooked thg.
Jamie Drysdale was out sick . He couldn't of possibly have help flyers power play. 😂😅
Philadelphia and Arizona do the unexpected behaviours.
They gave the second point to Boston. Refs purposely chose not to call a blatant trip I'm overtime. They didn't just turn it over.
Nice to see Cam Atkinson score for the Flyers'
The referees missed two obvious penalties on Boston last night. The tripping no-call in OT is the one that everybody remembers but earlier in the game the Bruins had two many men on the ice for a good 15-20 seconds that also didn't get called. They got called for two many men on the ice later in the game. Also, this was the first time since November of 2019 that the Blues scored multiple power play goals in back-to-back games. Bannister changed the power play units before the game against the Rangers and it's paid dividends so far.
Jets didn’t have Schiefele tonight which meant the lines had to be rearranged. Really messed with the teams chemistry, but they stayed in it. Hopefully they pick it up next game.
Sorry. Blatant non-call for tripping Thomas in OT leads to turnover and Bruin’s winning goal. Terrible way to end a great game. Crowd let the refs have it.
Colorado has MacKinnon, Makar, Byram, Toews, Rantennan, and they don't give up, and they lead, and Byram is still out. Leafs don't have that. Need to draft a Byram.
The only thing that I’ve ever been unhappy at the refs with while watching a hockey game was last night STL vs BOS when a uncalled tripping led to Boston getting the game winning goal in overtime
Did you not see Thomas get tripped in the Blues-Bruins game?
It's cute how you tiptoed right past the way the Bruins got their OT winner.

So the Oilers won 10 in a row. They shouldn't have allowing for stats on several games but they did so meh to math. In the first minute of this game Nuge takes a tripping penalty and Caufield for Montreal scores on the power play. Not a great start especially as there was no scoring until early in the 3rd period when Leon tied it up in one of the wierdest goals I've ever seen, he basically wiped the puck that was resting on Montembeault skate blade into the net. It was challenged and held. Finally a Bouch Bomb on the power play (as the 2nd star who got zero goals and cost Montreal the game took a penalty). Look the 3 stars are a joke. Leon with a goal and an assist got no stars but the guy who COST you the game Montreal gets 2nd star? Someone needs to see what the selection committee is huffing. Oilers shot a ton, hit less, won fewer faceoffs, got 1 PP goal (game winner in OT) but let in 1 PP goal so PK wasn't perfect, had more giveaways, more takeaways and less than half the blocked shots. This game and Chicago I don't think the Oilers should have won but they did (and they barely got past Detroit). Our Goals Per Game have gone down (not good but we're winning so…) and Goals Allowed per game are in the 1 to 2 range (which is good). Take care all.
don't forget the Preds did it to the Avs in the last seconds first
THG – you are slipping!!! Clearly a missed trip in OT – gave Boston the win. As I've said many times before, if the players have to face the music when the game is over so should the Refs, bar none!!
Good win for Detroit but how many more times are they going to stop playing with a huge lead and let the other team back in the game? No lead is safe with this team.
Phillys powerplay is getting better thanks to Zamula, he’s been huge for our powerplay. Him and Drysdale together should improve it even more
Saw the welcome back Dumba video and then switched to watching other games after the coyotes scored the 3rd goal, this is going to be a long season for the wild.
Have to think Guerins job is on the line. No cap space and no FA's to be to trade to get some picks. This teams needs so much and can do so little…. Not too mention the investigation into his behavior as GM on top of the struggles of the team continuing
So many teams i needed/wanted to win didnt, including my team. What a wild 16 game night
Tripping is now allowed in overtime, I can't keep up with these rule changes.
That trip in the Blues v Bruins game was a terrible miss by the refs. Blues deserved to lose that being 4 on 3 with their terrible PP
Not a fan of the Winter classic VGK jerseys..looked wan and washed out in Seattle…felt like they were wearing bad luck to wear them again..
In case it didn't get through on the previous 12 comments, yes, daws had hip surgery and is NOW getting a good look lol😂. I think V needs to get waived and just ride the two youngsters from here out.
Mtl Canadian's played their asses off vs the Oilers. They were one goal away from winning for almost the entire game. Skinner is the Oilers MVP this year. Mcdavid close 2nd
How do you not mention the trip in the Blues game? Wow dude
13 and 3 yerstday 345 and 267 and 46 record in the season
Teams are finding out Flyers are for Real! Surprising goaltending is their strong point.
Where is the Vancouver Buffalo game?
