  1. love the boston commentators.."stuarts not done!!!"..pretty sure two solid shots connected on his face lol. Beast hit though, shit pass.

  2. I think Stuart was just ready to go because he expected someone to come after him after such a big hit. Simmonds still instigated it..

  3. I hate how everytime theres a clean hit, a fight breaks out. Not even necessary. Sure, he laid out a star but cmon now, maybe just push and shove. Theres always pointless fights nowadays because of these clean hits. Thats just my opinion though.

  4. @bobbyblueblaze are you kidding me? go right away or you won't get your chance. It's not like they had any room to square off… tool

  5. @sanukh I agree totally, Take visors out of the game too. If you play scared (visor) then play that way. Secondly, buck up Kopitar, fight your own battles.

  6. Anyone who thinks that Simmonds didn't handle this situation 100% correctly is just plain WRONG. He did exactly what was needed of him to protect their star player, period.

  7. @VonKluge1944 it doesnt matter if its clean or not you have to fight someone who nails you best player or captain so next time the guy will think twice before hitting your top players because they are gonna expect a fight

  8. @sanukh meh if simmonds went for the hit you think they wouldn't have just dropped the gloves right after? plus thats not sean avery thats anze kopitar their star center I don't know what you expect a rookie to do in that situation, in front of his teammates, stuart was ready to go. on the other hand I agree because its a distraction from what was a sweet fucking check.

Dunno man, those situations vary a lot, but I always appreciate a good, big, clean hit more than a fight in which the guys mostly miss anyways. But that's just my point of view I guess.

  10. I think you save the fighting for questionable hits, not clean ones. I get that Simmonds was sticking up for a teammate, but fighting after a clean hit makes little sense to me… unless your team is getting blown out and you are looking to create some energy.

  11. Clean hit for sure, but its hockey code. Your top player gets destroyed like that, there's going to be an equal or greater response like this.
