You would really think if you get shoved while placing down the puck and cant make a play on it before your own teammate that the penalty would be nullified

Don't want to over analysis things, but earlier in the season the Oilers would have folded after being turned back time and again by a hot goalie, then made a mental mistake and made a defensive blunder than would cost them the game. I had the feeling they buckled down defensively, sensing if they could just prevent a bad goal on their end, they would eventually be rewarded at the other end. I think this marks a big step in their maturity, confidence, and discipline and hopefully will propel them through the playoffs.
Also hats off to Lyon. I always cheer Oilers first, goalie second, so unfortunately you needed to lose this one.

17-3 in there last 20!! Unfreaking real!!! Team looks better then ever!! Time to give Rodrigue the call up tho, if they aren’t gonna trade for a legit 1B then give the kid a chance he deserves it and the Oilers need 2 good goalies now that they are in a playoff spot or in the picture they need that 1B goalie that they can play in any game and get good goaltending!! It’s important now cause they can’t keep running Skinner like they have been, if Rodrigue came in and plays like he has shown he can in the AHL, then he can take 35%- 40% of the remaining games and then Skinner is healthy and not burnt out come playoffs, plus if Skinner struggles you have a guy that can give you great goaltending and it’s not a situation like last year where the coach doesn’t trust his other goalie so he has no choice but to keep a struggling over played Skinner in the net!! or if Skinner gets hurt it doesn’t mean the seasons over!! It’s important to get Rodrigue up now so he can get a decent amount of games under his belt before playoffs start!! Really hope management doesn’t drop the ball on this !! And if they don’t call him up then they better get a legit 1B asap cause waiting much longer isn’t smart, you want who ever you get here asap so he can get use to the team and the systems as soon as possible not just a month before playoffs start!
But in my opinion, with the way this team is playing, you don’t want to trade anyone away and to get a legit 1 B you’re likely trading a player that’s in the starting lineup!! And right now you got the best goalie in the AHL and he is playing unreal, seems like a no-brainer to me!! I’m actually surprised he hasn’t been called up yet and because he hasn’t it actually worries me that management is over looking this again!!

Evander Kane’s disallowed goal was a result of Ryan getting cross checked. Should have started OT with an Oilers powerplay at least.

EDM shouldn't have won this game. The dude closed the hand on the puck on that goal that was denied. it should have been a PP for DET. 8seconds left in the 3rd period when that happened so DET would have won in OT on the PP.
