Looks like that post a few days ago seeing what our thoughts about trading Byram for Gauthier was explored. And like most of the responses to that post, the Avs weren’t going for it.
I can’t fault Philly for asking but I do think any trade involving Byram for us would have to include someone that can play TODAY.

It would take a lot for me to consider moving Bo if I were running the team. Biz mentioned him as a potential piece for Lindholm the other night and I just don’t see it, trading a player like Bo for a rental. He probably hasn’t been quite as good as many expected this season, but he’s still been solid and I haven’t seen anything that makes me think his development is really off-track.
It remains to be seen who ends up actually being available at the deadline. At minimum they would have to be getting back a top-six forward with at least another 1-2 seasons of team control, and even then it would depend on who that player is and what kind of role they’d play.

Lots of rumours about Byram recently. Wonder if it’s just media speculation or if there’s something more to it
Maybe not this deal, but Bo or Girard are definitely on the table. Neither are putting up as many points as they should be and their underlying xGF and Corsi numbers are underwhelming as well. For the money they’re making they need to be doing more.
They might be useful on another team that needs a PP QB.
