  1. Bad result but that isn't your traditional slew foot. Looked more incidental and exacerbated by the player jumping right before contact.

  2. Too bad it takes an unconscious player to get that call made. Plays like that are all too common. But if the player dodges the injury no call is ever made

  3. Jesus,I don't think I've ever seen a player make a big hit and be the one to get hurt more. Definitely a slew foot, but nothing intentional, just hockey.

  4. Looks like he tries to reverse the hit incoming, and the legs just get caught up. I wouldnt call that an intentional slewfoot…. hell, this would make a more serious and INTENTIONAL slewfoot look like nothing if we were to use categorize all of them in the same "slewfoot" slogan.

  5. That's a bad call. Gilbert tried to jump/counter check Tomisino and resulted in him falling back in an awkward way. The refs have been especially bad this season. Missed calls, checks to the head calls that have been not called 5 min majors, injuries from plays that should be called that aren't. In the end, Marchand should be suspended 10 games for this hit.

  6. I don't think it was intentional, but he did go knee on knee with another player earlier in the game, so I am not disturbed by the match penalty. I hope Gilbert is okay. That did not look good.

  7. Ummm… I don’t see a slewfoot at all. I’ve watched the slow mo of the hit like 10 times now and their legs barely make contact and there is no sweeping motion. Heck, the Preds players leg goes backwards, not follows through forward. An unfortunate injury. But like… a hit.

  8. Wouldn’t call that a slew foot. Looks like a body hit and the legs got tangled up after. Shouldn’t be a penalty.
