You guys cry when the team is held accountable!!! Now you cry about not just holding Frost & Atkinson accountable but a message to the rest of the team!! You can win and loose at the same time and Torts is looking long term and staying the course and playing the right way wether we make the playoffs or not! And I am sick and tired of these people thinking we should of tanked completely and utterly to get a shot at the number 1 pick is ridiculous we couldn't even tank hard enough last season and now we have Cam back & Couts we can't tank! And shouldn't, take your 2 mid to late 1st round picks this year and add them to Cutter and Mitch and add the rest in Free agents!
I have an idea for the shootout. Instead of it being all 1 on 0, allow teams to do three 1-on-0's, one 2-on-0 + one 1 on 0, or just one 3 on 0. Any goal scored would still be worth one goal, BUT the risk/reward element is more varied. For example, if you have a bad shootout team and want to almost guarantee your team one goal, you may choose to do one 3-on-0. Of course this system implies the league would keep the shootout in the game, but it would be much more entertaining and it would introduce some extra strategy into the event rather than simply putting your best scorers out there every time.
