  1. I think if you look at the Iowa Wild as a whole. This group of players were decent individually but were never a team that could win games a great deal. Think of it like this, They only just made the AHL playoffs the second time since 2013 last year and got swept in the play in round by Rockford, a team in which most of those players are basically playing for Chicago now. Minnesota is essentially in the same hole as Chicago where they just don't have the NHL level roster and most of the players are probably AHL at best but are only there because they have to be. The difference being is that Chicago doesn't have anything else under contract while Minnesota involuntarily is put in this position. The team was rolling then they met Winnipeg twice in a row and lost half the squad.

At least we're seeing how the Iowa Wild would fare in the NHL and even just looking at how they've been recently playing in the AHL before the call ups, it wasn't going to be pretty.

  2. Clearly the so called system is NOT PLUG AND PLAY W JUST THROWING ON A WILD JERSEY, they have very little talent. I think the team needs a cupcake party at Spurgys house to course correct

  3. Time for a coaching change? 😂
In all seriousness, the head coach is just a guy that tells which players to go out on the ice next. It was telling when the organization fired that assistant GM fella that was in chsrge of player contract negotiations and Cap Management. Billy sealed his fate by signing off on those contracts and his days are numbered as well. If the Wild miss playoffs Billy is gone, unless these injuries continue…….They get a breather against CBJ tomorrow. Terrible team.
    Cheers!

  4. The Wild need to change their posture, let injuries fully heal instead of being playable, highlight players you’re not bring back with ice time that contenders might trade for, and answer questions on prospects. It’s irresponsible for management to take a more aggressive approach to try and save the season.
I’ve been questioning which players in Iowa should get their chance to play for the big club. I have less concern on all the contract extensions after watching last night.
