Not my article, but the writer made some good points. The way goalies are going down in such benign fashion, the organization should err on the side of caution. Given the tenuous situation, it isn’t the most prudent decision but unfortunately, it’s par for the course with Keefe’s track record.
If Jones does go down with an injury, what is their backup plan? Reactivate Samsonov? Rush Woll’s return timeline? Emergency trade?

awful article, don’t even need to read it. The caption is enough. They got the two wins and also Keefe literally mentioned he was gonna discuss with Jones, Treliving and the goaltending staff about whether they should play him in the back to back. It was an organizational decision not just Keefe’s.

After two consecutive games then injury? It used to be different when I saw Potvin play game after game. Sorry Maybe I’m just old.
And if my mother had wheels she’d be a bike. “If jones got injured” literally every game anybody plays in the NHL has a chance of injury. This has to be one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen.
Playing someone back to back isn’t the end of the world, goalies used to do it all the time. Especially when they let in 1 goal in 120 mins. God this is so fucking stupid
