  1. Thank you for this! Always wanted to learn this to be able to hunt. Does ticks come off the deer onto you or do they stay on the skin/hide? . I really hate ticks!

  2. I know its all relative, but I love him saying "lets put these somewhere clean" right before he lays just his organs on the fairly dirty rocks and ground next to him lol.

  3. Thank you for this step-by-step guide. Many times, content creators for YouTube won't show this vital step for fear of being demonitized or get a strike on their channel.

  4. Gonna save this video… its gonna save me if i get my first deer tomorrow cause ill be out alone😭😭 i feel like my luck is ill get one when nobody’s there to help me do the things i havent learned yet lol

  5. This stuff still makes me queasy even though I’ve seen so much of it before, never feels comfortable to look at dissecting a body

  6. This is the same method my grandfather, my father, my uncle's and myself have always used.

  7. This video helped me dress my first deer. Great instructions and I figured out a few things on my own along the way. Thank you!

  8. Happy to see he took some of the offal. Was really surprised he didnt want the lungs. When you fry em its like good steak

  9. This video was just what I needed. I hunted in my youth, but opportunities disappeared. The few deer I did kill, my dad never showed me how to field dress; he just did it and usually kept all of the meat except one of the backstraps I got to take home (my parents were divorced). Fast forward to now; I have a son that I'm taking hunting regularly and I needed to "re-learn" how to do this properly. Mom always said the deer that dad brought home were covered in hair; now I know why after watching your video and remembering how I saw him do it. I killed my first deer (eight-pointer) in more years than I want to admit just before Thanksgiving this year, and I can't thank you enough for putting me on the right path during the pre-season preparation.

  10. Far out! Quite different to how I was shown by pulling the Anus from the gut side and not cutting thru either the pelvis or the sternum but can see this way exposes it cleaner

  11. I never was taught how to hunt. Thank you for teaching me this valuable skill that I can pass on to my kids. I got my first deer – a 9 point buck – tracked it, and gutted it. Thank you.

  12. Growing up I never got to go out hunting. I grew up in a town where just about everyone I knew went hunting & I had always wished I could too. Well, as a now grown woman, I've made a lots of friends who have taken me out hunting with them to watch & learn, teach me all I need to know about it & help me practice. I'm super excited that next season I will officially be getting my own hunting license & will be able to get in on the fun & hopefully get myself a deer! I've been doing a lot of research to be as prepared as possible for the upcoming season, & this video was super informative & easy to understand! Thank you for this & I hope I get to use this info in the future!

  13. super informative and a rlly good video but also omg why did he brush away deer poop with his hand and then proceed to handle those deer guts 😭

  14. My brother and I recently bought some property in Alaska and we're gonna be survival camping while we a build a house for our family. I'm new to that kind of thing so it'll be under his guidance. This is one of those things I'm gonna have to do, so I better get used to it now.
