Questions on the introvert side there so uh yeah it does tend to wipe me out pretty solidly to do all the traveling and family time we had three straight days of in-laws and then my parents and kids flying around screaming for all of that obviously but uh yeah we’re back

Home now and trying to settle back in get a weekend in and some New Year’s celebration in before we get back to real life but uh yeah it’s h it’s been a week and I’m happy to be here with you tonight oh that’s nice all right while we waste no further

There is lots of illness going around as you can tell myself uh but I’m talking about the NHL players all right um so definitely just keep an eye on your lineups um we’ve had a couple you know guys that haven’t been able to go you know game time decisions that come up

Real quick so definitely just keep an eye on your rosters um I I haven’t seen it this much before where players are are taking games off due to illness so um yeah just something just just put the feather in your cap all right and keep it on the back burner though that

Doesn’t make sense what I just said but that’s put burn that feather hat all right that’s what I’m trying to say here um that’s profound all right let’s get into the news uh first we got to talk about Z dou at Zack rensky yeah um this one really hurts uh you know he’s

Injured it’s going to be week to week it sounds like uh as per Coach of the Year Pascal Vincent um so or Vincent I don’t know but yeah he it was an innocent looking play too just kind of got got caught up on the the boards there and yeah it

Doesn’t doesn’t look good so um yeah he’s gonna be out looks like Ivan proov is moving to the top power play so you know things are bad when uh the worst haircut in the league is running your top power play all right so I have a

Proov shout out to you let’s get some razors in here just just shave it right off man that’s what we’re talking about but um yeah they they pulled out a dub tonight against your Leafs Nate that’s I’m sorry to say but uh what how did the

Power play look did you watch the game I was in and out of the game uh between watching Frozen with my oldest and uh trying to watch bits and pieces of a game and then getting her to bed I didn’t see all of it by any stretch but

Uh yeah it’s uh it’s definitely been a war of attrition for Columbus even if outside of the mental gymnastics Pascal Vincent’s been pulling with this team um so yeah it’s pretty hard to be excited about things uh Johnny gdo another goal in overtime where Ilia samsonov just

Like threw himself out of the net so he could walk on by and put it in so that’s nice for him I guess but uh yeah I think uh I think samsonov probably owes uh some royalties on Good’s uh end of season bonuses or whatever he’s got

Going this year he’s allowed a couple of really interesting goals to gr dra in the last little bit here yeah it might be a percentage or something like that I don’t know a little shady that’s all I know all right let’s move on shout out

To ilas samsonov oh God is he get is he gonna get demoted maybe I don’t know all right we got to talk about uh patches Max Patcher ready he’s close to returning oh yeah um to be honest I thought this was gonna happen a little sooner um when he signed that $2 million

Contract one year I thought he was going to be good to go within like a month of the season and you know obviously this is a significant injury to the same Achilles I mean damn so but but he’s he’s close he was apparently close to playing uh tonight which is

Friday so could get in next game but if not hopefully next week so I think that’s going to be an interesting piece uh Max Patcher ready is a guy that really shows out in the metrics that we like here at appon Ginos but we have to temper expectations because who knows

What kind of deployment he’s going to get and he is coming off a major injury so I don’t think he’s going to be getting the 20-minute treatment you know they’ll probably ease him in so yeah temper expectations but this is an offensive player going onto a team that

Badly needs offense so there you go uh also kind of see where he like does he get power play one does he get power play two neither’s working well right now but uh my hope is that he goes to power play one and maybe boots Anthony

Mantha off of there all right moving on we got to talk about the Anaheim Ducks or as I call them the Mighty Ducks got to talk about Jamie Dale taking over power play one over the fresh maker kav minov uh yeah this is well what do you think

About this Nate because ryale is not a player I was excited about and honestly I was more excited about minty so um do you think this is a good move for the deck yeah I mean I’m not sure how it’ll shake out in the long term uh but I’m

Interested in drale for the time being I he’s had a couple nice games he’s put some shots towards the goal um shown up in the metrics that I like it’s obviously just a very small sample size at this point so I’m trying not to you know get too far ahead of myself but

That being said anaheim’s got a great schedule next week which we’ll talk about and yeah you know it’s a great entry point on Dr D if you’re interested yeah absolutely um let’s move on how about Seth Jones of the Chicago Blackhawks he’s expected to start skating by the end of the current road

Trip ending January 5th but it is unlikely he plays uh anytime soon so just just keep an eye on that but in the meantime go pick yourself up some Jared Tori all right the ultimate beef cake the beefer I just picked him up in my 16 team bangers League this man is he’s

Just going off he’s hitting people he’s taking penalties he doesn’t give a crap all right he just wants to get out there and do you know just beat people over the head he’s very angry man don’t go pick up Jared Tori but uh yeah anyways

Keep an eye on set Jones um moving over to Dallas Jake AER is still out so we’re still rolling with the wedgie Scott Wedgewood and uh yeah it’s a nice little piece they took a dub here tonight rupe baby dry hints with the hatti so that’s

Very nice um I’ve got him in a points league and I needed that uh I needed those goals from him yeah he’s been he’s been very consistent rupe hint he but just not really in the goal scoring department has he Nate yeah yeah it’s been a bit of an odd

Year for hint it’s been bit of an odd year for Dallas in general like they’re winning so like there’s not really a lot of reason for them to change but they’re definitely a lot more spread out uh I thought they were spread out last year but this year they’ve taken it to a

Whole new level um so yeah it’s just been kind of one of those years where they just haven’t had the ice time for everything to kind of even out the way You’ expect it to and so yeah I I still obviously love baby dry uh one of our

Favorite players here at appon J hell yes he’s saving it for the playoffs I think that’s probably what’s happening um all right over to Washington that uh Dynamo that amazing team um Charlie lingren was injured in the game here tonight uh as well as Martin

FY um yeah FY yeah you know what I’m talking about all right everybody um yeah both those players left the game tonight and both are expected to be out for the foreseeable future as per the head coach there in Washington so yeah that’s stinky news especially the

Lingren news there um I think he’s far superior to keer this season I was hoping he would get more starts and yeah we are going to talk about Washington you know in in our show here tonight so just keep that in mind but yeah lingren

Is not going to be an option for this upcoming week or Martin all right let’s move on um Thomas Shabbat of the Ottawa Senators he’s practicing in a non-c contct jersey which is great expected back at some point during their upcoming road trip um which goes through all of next week so

That’s good news but it does yeah just throw some confusion into kind of how we value the defenseman there in Ottawa so Jake Sanderson is currently getting top power play Chon’s on the second power play um what’s gonna happen when Shabbat comes back in is he gonna bump Sanderson

That that’s kind of what they did before they put Sanderson and Chan on the second power play and Shabbat went on the top one any any on that Nate I don’t have a really strong take um yeah it’s it’s been a bit all over the place so it

Wouldn’t surprised me if you know it’s a fairly significant injury that shabbats working back from they might just decide that um sanderson’s not really hurting the front um sanderson’s continued to come on actually this season in my estimation um not to be unexpected for a good young player but definitely it

Seems like he’s really coming into his own so they may decide to just roll a Sanderson uh i’ honestly like 5050 between Shabbat and Sanderson for top power play at this point yep there you go why won’t they give it to CH why come on no idea this just makes no sense um

All right I’m moving over to a couple defenseman here Jared Spurgeon the spurge he spersed everywhere oh God get it clinix um yeah oh God I wish I didn’t do that um yeah Jared Spurgeon and Michel sergachev still not playing um the spurge could be back on Saturday he

Was taking reps in their uh last practice on the top power play so Faber was moved over to power play too and they had Jared Spurgeon on the top power play with the big boys Marco Rossy was on that power play unit as well as he

Has been so just something to keep an eye on I think Spurgeon is going to be back in the lineup before serach Chev is my two cents and lastly we uh just just a quick update Andre burkovski came back from injury he’s playing the game tonight that’s still ongoing with the

Kraken um so that’s kind of good that’s that’s good news I I still maintain that this is a player that could be fantasy relevant this season um obviously he’s coming back off injury he was wasn’t getting deployed very well this game he’s he’s on the third line there with

Uh you know those Beauties Tai cart Tai all right and kylo Yamamoto that might be the top three names in the NHL let’s agree on that um all on one line damn I’d like I’m here for that but he was getting power play one so just something

To think about Andre burkovsky put him on your radar anytime Seattle has a great schedule I think this guy’s a great streamer and could uh could end up a streamer with benefits so that is it for the Newsies Nate take us into week 13 absolutely let’s not waste any time

Monday we have just the one game the Winter Classic for this year on January 1st New Year’s Day Tuesday we have 13 games Wednesday back down to two games Thursday another 13 games Friday three Saturday 12 games and Sunday four games so you can see obviously it’s a very

Polarized schedule not very much on the off nights and a ton of games on the three heavy nights this week and total we got 48 games played that’s generally considered a light week by the way that I like to measure things 50 or under being a light week and so really with

This one Monday game you’re probably just looking at Seattle Vegas if you’re trying to get an early week stream there’s neither of those two teams play on either Tuesday or Wednesday so there’s no uh preferred team between those two teams for like an early week

Uh couple of games to kind of get you ahead of your opponent into your matchup there are three teams with Wednesday Friday off nights Anaheim New Jersey and Washington and there are four teams with Friday Sunday off nights that’s Anaheim Chicago Winnipeg and Washington again so

If your league is not Super Active you could do the Seattle or Vegas stream on the Monday and then go into an anaheimer Washington stream for the Wednesday Friday Sunday off nights and get all the off nights the entire week that way um if your league is more active though you

Probably have to go ahead and grab the anaheimer Washington players right away on Monday or even in advance of that in some cases so keep that in mind as you’re going through and looking at who you might be looking to pick up and yeah those are the only two teams with the

Three off nights this week which we’ll get into so those are definitely going to be priority uh teams to stream from this week what I will say for this week it’s not great there’s not a ton of options there’s definitely more options later in the week so what I will say is

Don’t Force moves early in the week if they’re not there don’t make marginal moves to get you know one extra game of you know a really marginal player on a bad team you know don’t uh don’t go out of your way to pick up one game of Paul

Cotter in your points league and it’s probably not going to pan out for you you’re taking a prettyy low low percentage bet on him getting into some points for you there so don’t force things save the ads for the Friday Sunday teams you know things happen every week with all these illnesses

Going on you might have players hitting the IR plus you might open up a a spot even on those super heavy nights one of those nights and you might find a spot where you know Chicago and Winnipeg play Thursday Friday Sunday maybe you end up with an opening on the Thursday and you

Can roll into one of those and actually get three games out of a streamer if somebody hits the IR Plus for you unexpected things are going to happen in the next week I’m fairly confident of that so just don’t force things in the early going and back yourself into a

Corner late any thoughts on that Blake no I love that that’s great advice and something I I need to take heat of uh as well like Nate is a is an excellent streamer he has great streaming strategies so this is stuff that actually helps me too sometimes because

When I when I get a week like this usually I’ll you know I’ll load up early but I think that point where you’re saying yeah just save your ads that’s really smart especially with all the illnesses going around so there you go nice work all right with that praise

Ringing in my ears I’ll let you take it from here give us the worst teams to stream who should we be looking at dropping this week that’s a great a great that’s a great question Nate oh my goodness um yeah so I’m gonna blame everything on my illness here all right

Um so the worst teams to stream and we got some Fringe players are we got three teams that play two games with zero off nights and it’s going to be hard to get players in on those nights because they’re so heavy so those three teams are the Buffalo Sabers the Edmonton

Oilers and the St Louis Blues let’s get into Buffalo first so the players that you know are Fringe players that we can consider drop uh consider dropping is Dylan cousins Dylan Casey mid will stad uh JJ peterka and the Power Glove ow and power um so I mean before I kick it to

You here Nate to me I I think cousins could be a drop I’m I’m not I don’t know I’m not really high on this player right now um and I know you’re you’re not high on middle stats so I probably know where you’re going um but there has been some

Interesting developments with the buffalo power play there um just a tweet that came out today looks like they’re gonna run with ow and Power on the top power play and Rosas dalen is going to go to Power Play two and middle stat still on the top power play Dylan

Cousins is on power play two so with that said Nate um how are you going to be prioritizing these players yeah it’s definitely itely a weird week to be rostering guys from Buffalo you know I’m always happy to drop Casey middle stat that’s not a

Problem for me um but at your peril at my Peril for sure Dylan cousins like over his last five games here he is 68 in individual scoring chances for per 60 the shots haven’t necessarily reflected that um but that the uh scoring chances have been there he’s been playing with

PKA and Quinn which is probably the best linemates he’s had all year quite honestly middle stats been punch uh pushed down the lineup to play with Greenway and Benson which is definitely a step down from the type of line mates he’s been used to in recent weeks so

There’s all of that and then you’ve got petka who hasn’t scored in a while here but also has pretty decent scoring chance numbers again not very good shot numbers similar to cousins there so there’s a lot going on and then you have this power play uh switch up where

Middle stats on the top power play cousins and PKA on the second power play and then Dalene on the second power play which is a really interesting look for sure it does kind of suggest that they might go to a bit more of a split power

Play uh 1 a1b kind of situation instead of a true top power play which in my mind would be just absolutely bananas I don’t know why you would ever want Tage Thompson to come off the power play when you got a guy who can rip it one of the

Top three miles per hour Shooters and pinpoint accuracy in more cases than not um I don’t know why you’d want to take that player off the ice um anyway that’s just me I think that I’m definitely okay with dropping Cousins Middle stat PKA power all these guys I’m struggling to

See that really Do’s going to stay on the second unit uh for all that long this feels like one of those situations where they try it out maybe it gives some people a jolt and they start to figure things out but eventually like this is going to shake back out and my

Two cents it probably shakes out sooner rather than not maybe they try it in practice and it doesn’t work at all and they go back to it before they even play next week um that’s also an option in my mind so uh I do like power like his on I

Stats are always terrific he’s not much of a shot producer or chance generator um individually but his Oni stats are always really good he plays with Dalene obviously a fair bit plays a ton of minutes for Buffalo and buffalo now has pretty much their full compliment of forwards back uh obviously middle stack

Getting push down the lineup that just helps everybody petka Quinn on the second line you got the Top Line reunited uh Thompson finally healthy and ripping shots again everything seems to be on the up and up at this point in terms of their offensive ability at least and so power should run into

Points that way but um yeah I I don’t think he’s a must roster for this week especially if you’re looking at your defense and there’s somebody sitting out there you know maybe spurgeon’s out there and he is back and he’s on that top power play and um you just want to

Take that shot on an actual top power play guy that you’re feeling really confident in um yeah poers probably the one that I’m most interested in hanging on to just for the underlying stats uh but cousins is up there too petka uh and middle stat I’m more comfortable letting

Go at this point but honestly I I feel like I could flip on that pretty quickly it’s a pretty fluid situation in Buffalo right now yeah absolutely and and their two two nights that they play are the um it’s the Thursday and the Saturday right

So if you get rid of them you may have a chance to pick them up again if for some reason you can fit them into those games so something to think about like and like you said this might not even be this power play deployment might not

Even happen they did that in practice right um but it we might it might not see the light of day so anyways I’m with you power is the one that I’m I’m probably holding out of those four all right let’s move over to the Oilers and yeah um in terms of streamers there

There isn’t a ton like Fringe guys there isn’t a ton on the Oilers it’s either boom or bust usually um so we have talked about Matias eolm so he’s we got to consider him in that list but I wanted to throw this to you as well what

About Darnell nurse um this week because looking at even just um their ranking in koule scoring like nurse is 134th and eckholm is 185th so I mean yeah that is a big difference there but I mean nurse isn’t he he obviously in a bangers League we’re not dropping Darnell nurse

There’s no question but um of those two players what do you think because um obviously EOL has put together a nice little run here and some decent metrics too yeah eom’s metrics have been really solid pretty much all season long quite honestly like in the between 10 and 20

And basically all the metrics that we like to look at here at appon goino shots were 60 individual and on Ice scoring chances 4 per 60 and on Ice Cory 4 per 60 really solid stuff across the board he’s on a 40-point pace on the season he’s got five assists in his last

Five games averaging close to 22 minutes a night that’s a little bit up from his average on the season so he’s getting more and more ice time of late he’s fifth in shots per 60 over the last five games here everything is uh looking really solid for EOL definitely don’t

Think he’s going to you know average an assist per game the rest of the way or anything crazy like that but I am really actually trying to hang on to EOL at this point um I have him in a spot and I don’t know if I can stomach only getting

Two games out of him next week but I’m going to do my damnest to to try to hang on nurse is a guy that I’m like I want to hang on he does score goals uh from the defense position which is not something that you can find super easily

Double digit goals guy uh in my opinion pretty comfortably and should honestly be getting more assists in my in my estimation 9.6% on Ice shooting percentage on Edmonton that you figure that’s going to change uh so I feel like he probably ends up closer to a 40 Point

Pace from here on out rather than the 31 Point Pace he’s currently on so I am trying to on to nurse as well I honestly there are definitely leagues out there though where you’re dropping both these guys like 10 team leagues you’re probably really seriously considering it

18 te leagues you probably have to do it and does this mean I have to drop Warren Fogle as well ah oh never I’m hanging on to till the wheels fall off that’s how we do buckets okay um love Warren Fogle shout out to Warren Fogle um that reminds me

Of the guy from super bad what what’s is that what’s his name Fogle mcloven oh there we go okay that’s Warren fogle’s new name is mcloven all right that’s yeah book that all right you’re gonna see a new emoji on the Discord everybody all right um okay now let’s move over to

St Louis um and The Fringe players for St Louis are Braden Shen Tory Krug and col Colton Paro so yeah this is an interesting one because these are all viable players in my opinion so there I don’t think they’re going to be easy drops well Krug to me is not an easy

Drop but what what what’s your take on these three players here Nate yeah again I’m not I don’t want to be dropping Krug right now uh I watched some of the game tonight you know I talk about not trusting the ey test but uh Krug did look good in the game tonight

That I watched the part that I watched St Louis has actually turned this thing around a fair bit since firing Brew it has had the effect that they wanted in my estimation and so I’m a little bit more bullish on other players than I have been previously that being said like brayen Shen

Continues to have some truly abysmal metrics 268th in shots per 60 247th in individual scoring chances for per 60 over the last five games he’s really been the odd man out there in St Louis uh for most of the time since Bru’s been fired playing at even strength with

Caspar kaen and Jake neighbors I like neighbors but uh yeah capan is kind of a journeyman at this point in his career definitely not somebody that’s super exciting still getting top power play so he can run into some points there but it’s definitely not a player that I’m

Absolutely feeling like I have to hang on to uh in a situation like this Paro you’re definitely getting rid of Krug uh yeah like I said I’m trying to hang on the latest returns have not been terrific but he’s still providing enough under the hood that like uh he’s still

Skating close to 22 minutes he’s getting the deployment he’s clearly the offensive guy there perunovich everybody’s been talking about this I don’t know if that’s ever going to happen at this point um it may still happen but I think Krug is significantly the best offensive defenseman by a fair margin on the blues

At this point um he seems to have a bit of Renaissance this year in my mind so I’m trying to hang on to Krug but definitely I don’t think you have to and again is anybody going to pick him up he hasn’t been particularly hot in the

Counting stats the last little bit um maybe you can just drop him for this week get your stream and then get KR back uh so you have to weigh that risk and how much it’ll actually benefit your team to drop them this week but I’m not

Going to fault you for it absolutely all right let’s move on um to the next team that has the second worst schedule here uh it’s the Seattle Kraken they play two games um with one off night and they do play that Monday that the Winter Classic there so you’re definitely going to want

To hold your Seattle Kraken through that game right and then you can kind of figure out what you want to do but their their whole team is basically Fringe players right I mean you know we got to talk about Jared mccan right um he’s I’m not sure that he’s a must hold through

This week like obviously he’s their best offensive player so you know I’m trying to hold on to McAn if I can um elely tolvanen and how about the jerk store Oliver borran this man is popping off uh well that’s that’s a he’s not popping off but but he’s doing well all right

He’s doing stuff couple assists tonight oh man did they score again an overtime oh we got the win Nate and I both have Joey dord uh yeah in a couple spots so we’re we’re happy with that win thank you Joey for your service what a beautiful man all right um that’s good

Now I feel better uh but yeah we’re looking at bork strand Adam Larsson who provides a lot of value in in a lot of formats actually Matty bers and Jordan Eberly so of these players are there any mus holds in your opinion Nate honestly I don’t think so uh I’m

Comfortable dropping any one of them I have tolven in I have been holding them he’s been kind of up and down the underlying stats have really started to fall off as of late had I think three shots in the game here tonight I haven’t checked the underlying stats there but

Um yeah m is obviously a guy that you expect to do well but the underlying stats are not great ice time’s gone down um yeah it’s just not an ideal situation like he’s on a 33 goal Pace but just a 51 Point Pace on the season and I don’t

Know if I really expect that to be much better last year was definitely a bit of a heater it was a heater for the whole team obviously um so yeah I’m honestly quite comfortable dropping any of these guys Manan is the guy I’d want to hang

On to the most out of all of these with beor strand uh close second but anybody else I’m probably getting rid of without much of a second thought there you go release the Kraken everybody it finally worked didn’t it Nate finally that’s yeah all right we did it we did a thing

Um and uh you know after Seattle There are 16 teams that play three games with zero off nights so yeah you’re just going to have to assess your players on those teams and something I like to do it’s common sense but Bears repeating is set your lineup and see on those busy

Nights who’s the who’s the forward or defenseman not making the cut right those are your streamers on those teams so take a look there anywh who let’s move on to the best teams to stream or as Nate fondly refers to it as creams dreams streams yeah the these are not my

Dream streams I’m going to go out on a limb and say that all right um but we got some guys all right the first team with the clear clearly best schedule it’s going to be the Washington Capitals they play four games and three off nights that is excellent that’s what we

Want to see um but the the problem is some of their streamers not you know a little bit shabby to be honest um so let’s take a look we got Max Patcher ready who we need to keep an eye on right this isn’t an auto ad by any means

But I don’t know if if you’re if you’re up on gam plate already like you can add this guy if you can add someone straight into your IR plus like that’s a good option as well right but um take kick tires on Max Patcher ready we got to see

Where he lines up then you got Dylan stro Rasmus sandine uh the eagle evi kitov and how about Anthony Mana um and then Conor McMichael is out there as well TJ Oshi actually he is injured but have you heard anything on TJ oi Nate I meant to look that up but I

Didn’t see uh I’ve not heard anything other than he’s still not close so I don’t believe that he’ll be back um next week but uh yeah there’s always a chance so it’s just something to keep in keep in the back of your mind especially in case he drops back in for a Friday

Sunday or even just the Sunday stream yeah absolutely what what are we doing with these guys who’s who’s getting you’all hot and bothered here Nate uh I don’t think there’s anybody here who’s getting me hot and bothered uh Washington has played around with the lines a little bit with no success uh

But yeah they’ve been running the Tom Wilson Alex oetkin Conor McMichael line in this last game and the Anthony mantha Dylan stro Alexi protes line ketov demoted all the way down the lineup his line actually got the least time uh time on ice at even strength with Matthew Phillips and Hendrick

Laier uh so Tu Nets off is pretty much completely off my radar I think Patti and stro have some interest if patet is on the top power play which uh feels like a decent bet but not one that I’m confident making without seeing some actual confirmation of that um then

Definitely I think Pat R is uh interesting just for that alone because he is probably instantly the third most T talented player on that power play outside of oetkin and Carlson so that would obviously be of some interest and stro has actually put together a pretty

Decent season um so far which makes him um fairly interesting the late returns have not been ideal from the individual side especially since he’s been away from oetkin at even strength but the on I numbers are still pretty solid he’s got he’s ranking 51st and Cory 4 per 60

And 30th and scoring chances for per 60 over the last five games still averaging 18 and a half minutes top power play uh so he’s at least got that much going for him on Pace for 32 goals and 50 points on the season at the moment and I think

The point pace is at least uh something that we can expect to stay or even get a little bit better so he’s definitely in the streamer range uh I would say is Dylan stro so Pat ran stro at the top uh Anthony mantha has uh or as I like to

Call him Anthony bantha F A Little Star Wars reference for you there oh my God but uh he had a nice little run here uh of late which had some people kind of interested myself included I’m not going to lie he had a six shot game

237 and then in this game here tonight he had just the one shot uh one hit he had three scoring chances for whatever that’s worth um yeah he’s on the top power play right now so if he doesn’t get bumped by Pat ready then he’s definitely worth a look in deeper

Leagues like he’s already been scooped up in my tier three kuule division uh so take that for what it’s worth but I think it’s as yeah as likely as not that it’s a flip-flop between Patti and mantha for top power play come next week and they could flip-flop even midweek so

I I just don’t have that confidence there I feel like strum’s pretty locked in so I would take stro as the top guy from Washington currently there you go um yeah I saw 18 skaters Mark Barber is taking a ride with with Anthony mantha um so that’s nice shout out to 18

Talking about their power play and how oetkin is really the only guy with any kind of threat right and it’s easy to cover a power play like that they just go take a vkin one- timer away so um when you get a guy like ma Max Patch ready out there another shooter like

Give him another option for God’s sake um I don’t know that’s my two cents that that makes sense to me in my head that’s fine all right let’s move on um next team we like Anaheim they’ve got a a good schedule as well three games played

But all on the off nights so they’re playing Wednesday Friday and Sunday pretty nice pretty darn nice and they have some reasonable streamers if they’re out there so you definitely got to check on some of these players but obviously we’re looking at Trevor zis right U they just got shut out tonight

By the way which really sucks Ingram got the shut out there for Arizona so that’s he’s he’s hit or miss these days but when he hits he’s basically just getting shut outs like you know like you get a shut out you get a shut out I don’t know

What the hell’s happening but yeah Trevor zerris um so check check that out Troy Terry as well these guys should they have to be owned for this week There’s no question you got to get those guys on your team and then we’re looking at that late night beauty that that the

Club is is closing the lights have turned on and there’s Cam Fowler he’s by the bar okay Cam you want to join my team I know you’re power play too but that’s fine let’s just get over here and he’s like yeah sure thing buddy so cam

Fer is there the fresh maker Pavo minov Alex color is there as well and Jamie Dale again rolling with power play one right now very nice um Adam Henrik and then Ryan strome kind of round out the the players there on Anaheim is there anyone here um besides zis and Terry

That’s kind of getting you excited Nate um not excited definitely yeah not the right word maybe yeah uh Claren I mean he’s got five points his last five games the underlying stats are putrid uh so there is that um yeah 28 first in shots per 60 297th in individual scoring

Chances 4 per 60 in the 200s in both of the on Ice metrics that we like to look at as well but he is getting a bunch of minutes and playing on that Top Line top power play so um deployment wise you know if you can start to actually put

Some things together then maybe he can get there but yeah he definitely has some work to do on his portion of the program there uh Jamie dresel is obviously of Interest as long as he’s on the top power play and like I said he has actually done some good things under

The hood sixth in individual Cory 4 per 60 and his first three games back so that’s nice uh 42nd in on ice cory4 as well that’s not terrible uh it’s not ideal but it’s not terrible either so Jamie Dale looking the part in the early going here I don’t know uh if that’ll

Last or if they might move the PowerPlay around between the three of them now there’s definitely some uncertainty there um mikov his iceam has continued to decrease unfortunately and really just seems like they’re content with him being a third pair guy and honestly not even having power play now with Dale

Back at the moment so uh I don’t know if I feel like super confident that Dale’s like locked in the the power play guy from here on out but he’s playing pretty well at the moment under the hood he’s got the deployment at the moment so um definitely be cognizant of those lines

I’m not like I’m not like dying to rush out and grab Jamie Dale to be quite honest with you because I mean it still is Anaheim right at the end of the day um but definitely um I’m interested and I I would be interested if assuming that this power play deployment holds uh

Moving into next week and we feel like uh prettyy solid in that come Sunday yep absolutely man all right um well let’s move on to some of these other teams here so there are a couple teams that play four games with two off nights and those teams are the Chicago Blackhawks

And the Winnipeg Jets so let’s look at the Chicago Blackhawks do we have to Nate oh god um all right and we gotta talk about that Ultra beefer Conor Murphy all right this guy does he hits he blocks he Julians he does it all um except score

Or get any kind of points whatsoever um so he’s out there um Nick Felino or as I like to call him Lou Figo um he’s out there as well uh Philip Kev Taylor radish Jason Dickinson it’s hard trying to remember these guys first names now that I’m looking at the the Nate just

Put the last names on Chicago I’m I’m struggling here uh and then Kevin kinsky as well so of those players I mean to me Felino I mean he’s getting he’s getting deployment with Bard so that’s nice um and he’s he’s put some goals on the board too so that that’s an interesting

Piece to me and Jason Dickinson like these guys are just doing it somehow I don’t understand but um of these Chicago players where where would you go if you had to pick one or a couple yeah it’s it’s not it’s not great I’m trying not to pick anybody from Chicago for sure

That’s the that’s the correct answer but yeah I mean Felino is averaging over 20 minutes a night the last five games so there is that can’t really deny that but like his metrics are just completely awful 358 and shots for 6 290th individual scoring chances 4 per 60 on

Ice numbers just as bad 344th and on Ice Cory 4 per 60 and 251st in on Ice scoring chances for per 60 I feel like I could get those numbers playing with Connor Bard I would literally just like hand him the puck like physically hand him the puck inside

Our Zone and watch him skate down to the other end and take shots and my on Ice numbers would go up as a result so um yeah I could you do it with the panach the panach that Nick Felino does it with I mean come on I don’t know if anyone’s

Ever described Nick Felino as having panach but uh I guess there’s a first time for everything that’s right that’s right uh yeah so Felino is the guy with the deployment I guess at the moment Kev has had some decent runs you know he’s got four assists in the last four games

That he’s played so there is that I guess um I yeah I’m just not excited about anything that’s going on there uh but yeah Kev and Felino are the line one power play one guys that you can take a swing on Kurt chinsky is the power play

One quarterback at the moment um so I guess he’s your guy if you’re if you’re desperately needing a defenseman stream uh again not excited but he is getting some minutes there and getting the top power play so uh you could maybe do worse in a 16 Team league than Kevin

Kinsky yeah or like just a really engaged League like even koule like I could see people rostering Kevin kinsky right it’s power play power play one defenseman like it’s slim pickings out there you know so I mean just for a streamer like I actually don’t mind that

I don’t mind feno either to be honest I mean I’m not going to get him I’m not waiting up until midnight uh so I can click and get Nick Felino on my team but uh you know that I think they’re actually reasonable options there all right let’s move on let’s talk about the

Winnipeg Jets um some of the players you’re looking at here Neil Pon um all right Brendan Dylan for the beef and the beef only uh and how about Mom spaghetti Co Peretti Nino Neer Rider Adam Lowry I’m Mike Lowry and Alex I follow so yeah of those players I’m liking Peretti I

Think Peretti is definitely worth a definitely worth a look here this week um also Alex I follow I mean the metrics no bueno but he’s getting some power play one time so um where are you with these players here Nate yeah it’s it’s a little bit weird

Like the guys that the metrics likes are not getting the deployment and the like ifo as you mentioned metrics are not looking good but he is getting top power play he’s still only averaging 14 and a half minutes that’s not great Peretti is averaging under 14 minutes but his on

His on I stats and his individual stats are both very good the last little bit over the last five games 31st in shots per 60 30th in individual scoring chances for per 60 23rd in Coursey 4 per 60 37th in scoring chances 4 per 60 I think honestly I think think Cole

Peretti is a really good player in the National Hockey League but he’s currently getting bonused the way that eers has before him and so it’s a right of passage yeah it’s a right of passage exactly uh so you just can’t trust that uh if he’s not on top power play if he’s

Not uh exposed to any of the top players there in shle eers or valard then uh it’s pretty hard to get really excited about what go Peretti might offer you in the upcoming week so there’s that Neil pan is an interesting one though honestly he’s got three points his last

Five games averaging about 20 minutes a night he’s eighth amongst all defenseman shots for 60 over the last five games which has not really been a thing that Neil pan has done historically so it does represent a bit of a departure from previous uh iterations of who Neil pan

Has been as a fantasy asset uh so if he’s going to continue to shoot then I definitely have more interest in Neil pan than I typically do so there are definitely some options here um and I think you know you got to take I follow just for the odds that somebody’s going

To bank one in off his stick or he’s gonna walk into some few points here or there um so I do think that you have to take ey follow but it’s not going to feel good uh with any of these guys really and you know maybe in the end you

Want to just go with Neer Rider and hope that he gets on to one of his big heaters he’s got three goals in his last five games so maybe he’s on route to one of his patented Nino neider heaters that he goes on for a couple weeks and then

Completely falls off the face of the Earth again yes it is Ned netherlander uh Three Amigos anybody watch that way before your time Nate uh don’t even yeah don’t don’t at me all right um all right let’s go uh next team we’re looking for uh New Jersey Devils

They play three games with two off nights so there there’s some decent streamers here on this team as well so Dawson Mercer uh I think is a really great piece actually he’s out there um did some stuff tonight too I think he got a goal I’d have to check the box

Score but um also Eric Holla is out there but um is he playing fourth line right now Nate is that what you’ve seen uh he was but I did see in this game he got elevated uh and I believe he is actually playing alongside heer in this

Game so I can double check that for a second but yeah he was up there with palot and heer on the second line in this game so he did get up there that’s a good sign for him for sure and makes him obviously Much More Much More

Palatable uh if that’s going to be the case yeah absolutely and then on the back end we’re looking at Simon neik is it Simone I don’t know Shimon we say it like that um let’s go with that y yeah well that’s how you have to pronounce it

As well Nate are we in agreement on this oh dang H maybe not you you don’t have to do it now but definitely next episode all right everyone tune in for that all right he’s gonna pop off um we’re looking at Sim Nik and uh Michael

McLoud um that makes me think of Die Hard that’s mlan um and then Andre lot those are all options here on the Devils Luke Hughes as well I mean I don’t know he’s like 70% rostered but he was dropped in Mike a couple League recently

And I picked them up this is amazing and got him just in time for this three-point beautiful game that he got so where are you at with the Devils Nate who are you liking of this list yeah it’s definitely Dawson Mercer who I’m most interested in the underly

Metrics are not great but he does have three goals six points in his last five games did get a goal in the game here tonight averaging 1 half minutes that’s Obviously good uh yeah 235th and shots per 60 184th and individual scoring chances for per 60 and around 250 in

Both on Ice metrics that we like to look at so definitely nothing to write home about there but on a bit of a hot streak here getting decent minutes um yeah you can do worse definitely than dwon Mercer it would be a pretty interesting conversation between him and Eric Holla

If their current deployment holds where Mercer is playing with Meyer and McLoud and Hala is playing with heer and palot I think honestly niiko heser is playing through something his minutes are way down his shot rates are way down this year so I think heer is playing injured

Is my current take on why heer is having the season that he’s having and so that makes uh being on heer’s line just a little bit less attractive uh so overall I’m not like through the moon about either of these players um you could take Mercer just for the extra minutes

That he’s uh seems to be getting lately uh but uh neither of these players are uh you know super super exciting players uh nit is a guy that I’ve had some interested in definitely he he’s getting more minutes he’s averaging more minutes actually than Luke Hughes but Hughes has

Been getting the power play and um his metrics look slightly better than neich uh at the moment as a result of that um basically you know you get more of more a bigger percentage of your time on the power play your overall metrics are going to look better so that’s kind of

What’s happening between Hughes and neich you know if you switch the roles I’d be very interested to see what their what their numbers might look like at the end of the season so I do have some love for nit uh even in a power play two kind of situation where he’s averaging

Between 20 and 21 minutes a night I still think that’s a decently valuable situation for a guy like nich so uh in deeper leagues I don’t mind that call either yeah I like it I think you can definitely take a shot with that player um all right let’s move on to the last

Team here it’s going to be Calgary they play four games with one off night uh we’re just going to rip through here but you got to get Blake Coleman oh yeah buddy this guy’s on a heater or he was all right and you it’ll come back all

Right we Blakes we stick together but yeah that’s a guy actually held through kind of a stinky week and so no I’m I’m gonna have him next week so I’m happy about that Noah hannahan is out there as well you back on Power Play One Nate Noah

Hannen uh no I believe it’s still Anderson they Anderson missed the practice um so there was some kind of rejigging of some things but I am anticipating that’ll still be Anderson in the next game there you go and then we got one of the yeor eugo Sharon govic

He’s out there as well cooled off a little bit Mel backland um Andrew mapani and Connor Zari of the Flames um who are we who are we picking from this group I think honestly the most interesting one is Sharon govic big minutes like almost 21 minutes a night still got four points

In his last five games here just the one goal but um underlying metrics are not great but not terrible the shots are not great especially 279th in shots per 60 but 131st in individual scoring chances for per 60 that’s at least like average um I would say and when you’re getting

21 minutes a night average is good enough to get you some uh streamable Point production I would say so uh Sharon goic is probably the guy that I’d be most interested in at this point and then Hanahan you know skating 24 minutes a night um basically any defenseman

Skating 24 minutes a night with the kind of decent offensive chops that Noah hanen does I think you’re interested in that for Fantasy purposes what’s up with Conor zari’s Cory 4 per 60 here it’s 25th overall is H what what do you what do you make of that Nate yeah honestly I

Think that’s just a function of him being on the top power play and then not getting a ton of minutes anywhere else uh in in the lineup he’s been playing in the last game he actually played with kadrian posil uh kind ofle an interesting line to say the least is

That line so I’m assuming he’s just kind of being a part of those lines that uh shovel shots at the net from afar and then get play time yeah yeah cool all right well that is that and this is this we got to talk about the best players to

Stream from Nate Groot nibbling what do you got well thank you for that beautiful intro I’m gonna give my Top 10 rankings obviously I have to basically lean on Washington and anah time here as the two teams with the three off Knights given that the uh heavy Knights are so heavy I

Can’t really assume that you’re going to be able to work anybody in on a heavy KN here so I am going to just go with the teams with the three off Knights really assume that you’re only going to be able to fit these streamers into your lineups

On off nights so that means that at the top we have zis and Terry I would kind of consider these guys as the top tier in a tier of their own I would take zeris over Terry at the moment um zeris has had a nice little uh nice little

Re-entry into into uh life in as an NHL player after missing some time with his injury it does seem uh to me like it’s pretty well healed uh he’s definitely generated some shots and chances in his first few games back so we love to see that uh hopefully zis can get back to

Being one of the more interesting and exciting players in the league and Troy Terry obviously he’s been putting up points before this game here tonight he had six points in his last five games including three goals the underlying metrics were not so hot uh the best one was 64th and individual scoring chances

For per 60 the worst one was 206 and shots per 60 uh so definitely converting at a high rate to get to the point that he’s at in this last little stretch and then obviously shut out uh here tonight uh by Conor Ingram but averaging 18 minutes in that stretch definitely these

Are the guys that are getting uh solid deployment for Anaheim and the ones that I’m going to be the most interested in at the top of my rankings here then we get into a kind of second tier here where I’d have Dylan stro at the top of

It and then Alex gor and Max pater ready I will say that this pater ready placement is assuming that he does get back to Power Play one and we do have some sort of confirmation of that before next week starts so if pader ready is

Not going to be on power play one then I’m definitely going to be much less interested in him because because I assume he’s going to play left wing as he has for most of his career and that means he can’t play with oetkin at even strength so really the only place of

Interest for Max petetti fantasy wise is that power play one spot uh then you get into the Anaheim defenseman Jamie Dale and Cam Fowler kind of back toback here Ryan stro also in this conversation for me I do think that they’re um yeah he’s a a player who’s going to get decent

Amount of minutes and he’s playing with MC tavish and vono and I do think that McTavish and vetrano are going to find their magic back together McTavish had three assists vrono had a goal the other night um so I do think that stro can kind of ride shotgun on that and be that

Third wheel and pick up a few greasy points this week for you potentially as well then we have Anthony bod mantha just because of the last little bit um yeah I’m not going to write him off uh completely just think that any player can be hot for a week and he has shown

Some decent games as of late so not going to write him off at just yet and then Co Peretti the only player to make this list that doesn’t have the three off nights um yeah it’s just based on the underlying stats really here like I said you probably want to take ialo I

Waffled back and forth I I changed my mind from Peretti to aalo while we were talking now I might be changing my mind back to Peretti here I don’t know I’ll I’ll put it in the show notes I’ll put it as ceretti Alex ifol you can make

Your own decision on that I really don’t want to be making that decision um but yeah uh it’s one of those two guys for the last spot here at the end what do you think Blake uh how should I have ranked these if you disagree yeah it seems reasonable um what a momentous

Squeeze them in even on the heavy nights and you can push somebody out potentially or if you already have like a Cam Fowler Jamie Dale on your squad one of these players that’s playing on the off nights and you actually do have an open spot on the heavy KN then you

Might be able to fit them in as well and then Jeremy laon uh doesn’t have a good schedule this week but he’s absolutely lapping the field right now uh last 10 games Jeremy laon has 51 hits and the second place has 35 he’s got 16 more

Hits in the last 10 games than any other player in the NHL so Jeremy laon even regardless of the fact that he’s only got three games this week uh definitely deserves consideration you will have to fit him in on heavy Knights uh but if you’re strictly looking for hits he’s

Definitely the guy who’s going to do that for you best for blocks Jackson lome from Anaheim has been doing that Conor Murphy Ilia leushin Cam Fowler does that a bit as well and it was we were going to see a bunch of Martin fery here but it’s actually going to be

Trevor van reike so that’s what it’s going to be uh yeah not excited about any of these guys none of these guys are like massive big time blockers like this week we had David Saar uhre had a decent streaming schedule and David SAR is a guy who just like block shots like

Nobody’s business uh that’s a that’s a block streamer uh none of these guys are near that level of block streamer in my opinion but what do I know Blake what do you have for us yeah well that is such a skill isn’t it blocking shots like um

When you play Nate like are you a shot blocker or are you kind of you know a more positional just angle the guy off kind of thing oh I definitely block shots in Beer League I cannot help myself I’ve been ridiculed for it many times by my teammates they’re like you

Know this is beerle like I’m like I just I can’t help myself I got I got to try to win the game exactly buddy bless you bless you my man um yeah for me I I want to block shots mentally I’m a forward so

My that’s all I want to say there all right let’s get into the best players to add for the future then these are the players that you may be able to add and then keep on your roster moving forward I did see that Pavo zaka and Thomas

Hurtle dip below 50% uh rostered today on Yahoo so obviously if those guys are out there I think he should be going out to get them um yeah zaka playing with posture knock at both even strength and on the power play that’s Prime deployment and he’s good enough to get

Those points hurdle uh you’ve heard us talk about hurdle the turtle on this podcast many times and he’s definitely somebody who should be rostered in pretty much every league in our opinion but basically I’m going to go back to the well here Nick schmalz Quinton bfield Byfield has gone pretty quiet

We’ll get into that a little bit later with our streamer Deathmatch but um yeah he’s gone pretty quiet the last little bit he did get back up to 17 minutes if he had an 11-minute game and that had me really worried and then he had a 17-minute game and that made me less

Worried it’s a little bit up and down with Byfield right now uh for me mentally and uh I’m just worried that the kings are just not going to deploy him enough where he can really settle in game to game and be a consistent force

Uh the way that I believe he can be so I do think that the ceiling here is so high that I have to keep him on this list and keep him high on this list because I do think like there’s another gear here where you could actually just

Completely take off and uh be a dominant Force but um yeah take that for what it’s worth it’s definitely a bit of a boomer bus player at this point Trevor zis and Troy Terry make this list as well so I do definitely do think if these guys are out there they make good

Ads in your league you get the great skill schu this week and potentially you have a guy rest of season who you just hang on to and then Josh Norris who’s mid- making this list pretty consistently I’m going to keep him here he makes it as the fifth player and I

Did want to throw an honorable mention to Ricard Rael who’s just 26% rostered but has had a couple of five shot games and put up a bunch of points uh in the last couple games here as well one thing that’s uh keeping me from pushing Raquel

Up this list is that Brian rust is apparently fairly close to returning and don’t have an actual idea on when that might be might be as soon as this weekend um but when rest returns got to watch what that does to rael’s deployment uh if that starts to come

Down if he gets bumped off his current line what happens there would definitely have a big effect on Raquel so keep an eye out for that but Raquel definitely playing well currently and I’m definitely interested sub 20% rostered going to keep shouting out Sam Bennett until it

Comes true I feel foolish at this point doing it positive thinking yeah I’m GNA I’m going to keep uh keep that power positive thinking moving forward and then Matias melli is 11% rostered had another assist tonight uh just been cons consistently uh pumping out assists has been shooting more this year as I

Mentioned before I think he’s definitely worth rostering in deeper leagues sub 10% rostered will throw mantha in here um just because I think he could have a role if he continues to push his way forward you know maybe he is the guy who sticks on the top power play I don’t

Necessarily think that’s the case but uh this is sub 10% rostered and we’re really looking for somebody down there so I’m willing to ride a guy like mantha for this week in those super deep leagues see if he does continue with that power play one deployment and then

Maybe he actually you know continues that into a solid rest of season we’ve seen it with mantha before like somewhere within him is that guy who is scoring at a 70 plus Point Pace all those years ago in Detroit right um I don’t know maybe maybe at least so Blake

Tell me where I’m crazy tell me where I went wrong with these long-term plays you’re not crazy buddy all right you’re bang on as usual um yeah I’m big on on all these players here I like the Raquel thing as well there but you you missed

Blake the snake Coleman oh man come on um yeah he’s literally line three power play two so that’s why he’s not there but uh yeah this guy’s crushing right now so also uh you know Oliver Bor strand is out there as well but I don’t know if you’re going to be holding him

All season long like you would the rest of these units so there you go for sure all right long-term plays at defense Tory Krug top of the list still um it is fairly sparse as it has been for most of the last month at least I guess I would

Say uh but Tory Krug still top of the list for me personally I proov given that warsky is out week to week I will throw proov out here he’s going to get a ton of minutes uh in my mind the way that rensky was before so I think proov

Is a fairly safe if unexciting option as a long-term play as long as rinsky is out for however many weeks that warsky is out uh then we got Noah hanifen who I’ve talked about before another kind of steady Edy option not getting ton of power play time so he’s not going to pop

Off or anything but definitely good enough to provide you some points and provide you some peripherals as well Jared Spurgeon who I’ve been toing here continues to make the list and I think Brock Faber is good enough to keep on the list even if he does come off the

Top power play I still think he’s going to probably be like 24 plus minutes a night for the rest of the season and so yeah that’s enough to keep him here for now sub 20% rostered I’ll throw Jamie Dale in here at 17% on Yahoo currently

Uh as long as he’s on that top power play I think he’s going to have some relevance uh Four Points leagues at least so 10% rostered Shimon nich we talked about 9% rostered currently uh yeah I’ve said what I need to there but I definitely think in deeper leagues uh

You can look his way as well your thoughts on the defenseman Blake uh yeah they’re great we got to talk about the Power Glove though too we got to get him in there if he’s gonna get power play one time um you got to keep an eye on

The Power Glove at the very least I think you know he could probably be more valuable than a guy like Jamie Dale maybe or definitely Shamone we you know we definitely want the Power Glove over him but there you go fair enough all right let’s keep rolling talk about some

Goalies top of the list is going to be Martin Jones for me I did change this up uh after the game tonight like Sam sonov is just playing at like a below AHL caliber level right now and uh yeah I think that means that Martin Jones is

Gibson who’s actually been pretty good uh in each of his last few outings he’s at 44% rostered so he may be out there for you Alex Lion at 28% Detroit pretty much has no goalies so Alex lion actually could get a good run here and honestly like VI huso was not exactly

Lighting the world on fire when he was there so uh who’s to say that lion couldn’t actually just run away with this thing um wouldn’t be the first or the last time with the uh various zero g Shenanigans we’ve seen go on over the years so lion makes this

List there’s actually more out there like I I had trouble making this list this week um Joey D cord’s out there you’re gonna struggle because you know Chris Dreer randomly got that start to start the week even though they’re coming off a break I really thought that

That was going to be another decord start uh but it was Dreer and he played pretty well so that makes me think that you know next week Dreer could get another start and as we talked about Seattle only has the two games next week um so then you’re looking at a pretty

Tough place to be rostering to cord through next week but the cord has definitely played far better than Philip guau on the season so far and um I think he’s maybe buying himself a bit of rope there um so I think that definitely uh dord could have some long-term value and

Then Elvis M leans came out of the game I guess with illness uh tonight but um yeah Columbus is terrible defensively is going to get pepper with shots if that’s valuable in your league R leens has valuable if that’s not and you get heavily uh penalized for goals against

Then Merc lein is definitely not for you sub 25% rostered I want to talk about Joel Hofer I think this guy’s actually uh doing something the last little bit and Bennington hasn’t been great he had a decent game tonight uh only allowed two goals to the ABS as didn’t have a

Great game overall to be honest with you um so there is that but I think Ker wouldn’t shock me you know we saw vly huso take away the net for a stretch run uh from Jordan Bennington it could be hope for this year if the blues do make

A run at some point so that wouldn’t shock me and then Niko do uh the Devils called up sent down a kirm called up Niko do and he had a good game here uh made 25 stops only allowed two goals 926 save percentage against the Senators who
