I was really hoping Pageau and Gauthier were going to come off of the last game firing on all cylinders and expand upon that play.
Nope.
They were bad, the fourth line was even worse, and the bottom six continues to be a problem at even strength. Couple that with the usually-very-good top pairing laying an egg and a backup goalie looking like prime Hasek and it’s an awful end to the New Year.

We’ll need to bounce back next game against the Avalanche. I’ll be there as well so I hope to see an excellent performance from us Isles.

The twitter fans told me Lee was a washed up bum and cost us the game tonight, though.
