Yair got some insane kicks always fun warching him fight
It's incredible that Yair barely landed kicks out the hundreds he threw, but Islam threw 1 and shot Volks lights out. MMA math = There is no such thing…

Volk Is an absolute force. But i cant wait to see yairs next level up. These are defining moments for future champs
the thing i like about Volk and other fighters is that they have so much respect for one another. Landed a nice kick and Volk acknowledged that with a high 5, all the while trying to knock each other out.
ok Volk let the fight go on for the fans. Volk the tougher, better overall fighter and Rodriguez one of the most technically potent and superior striking abilities my God!… he's a great fighter for sure but Volk will transcend being a world class fighter to become a Villan. I fear we will one day hope someone comes and beats him. Even Islam might never do it the 3rd time

Volk threw that inside low kick, retract into South paw, right hook numerous times throughout the fight. His switch hitting is underrated.
I dont think Yair was nodding thinking "oh volk is that good" i think it was a moment of taking it in like "shit i really lost. My opportunity to be a champion and i ended up coming up short" moment. Also no body is mentioning how integral the accidental head butt was to volk getting the finish here. Yair didnt take the 5 minutes to recover so it's on him. No excuses.

As dominant was his performance against Ortega he almost got submitted by Brian couple of times… Max almost beat him in the first fight.. that was very close on scores.. rematch all Volk 3rd fight not even close… if give Yair another shot he might be able to KO Volk.. it’s possible and Islam showed it!
