Sillinger is not a match. Jackets are deep in defensive prospects and at this time don't need a gk. Mercer is probably a match but Devils have to get a little desperate

Xhekaj will be back with the Canadiens. His physicality will be required by the Canadiens. He just has to avoid dumb penalties. And if he can play smart that will be a bonus. Noorul
The plan is probably to have Arber play 20 min a night while the future rookies cut their teeth. Once Habs become a contender his min can be reduced.
Trading Xhekaj will be as bad for MTL as trading Patrick Roy. This kid will terrorize the league for years/ Please keep him in le bleu, blanc et rouge.

Xekaj is a 5 or 6 on this team in the future. Barron, Harris are the odd men out.
Mercer talentueux but too petit. Sillinger, not démontré qu’il est a top 9 player. Rossi, ok, but won’t déshabiller the team for him, he is un autre small joueur.

Eric Engels needs to see the light then. He says Arber Xhekaj can play higher in the line up and play 20 minutes a night. Ok who is Arber going to replace? Kayden Guhle? And in the future Lane Hutson? Cause I have a hard time seeing Arber replace these two. And Arber's problems are that Montreal is VERY deep in defenseman prospects. Because right now there is one prospect that is preventing him from returning to the NHL and that is Jayden Struble who lets be very honest. He has been a lot better then Xhekaj. Not only is he the most reliable defenseman on the squad and that is including our veterans. He has shown offensive upside that none of us expected. He is smart with his pinches, smart with his zone play, smart with his decision making. How the hell is Arber going to surpass Struble?
The only reason why so many people want Arber to make it is because of his toughness. They like it, but that is not the only reason why Arber can be in the NHL. He needs to show more and right now he isn't going to be able to beat players like Struble for that 3rd pairing slot.
If teams want to trade for Arber Xhekaj for a first rounder. Then the Habs should jump on that opportunity. We have a huge logjam at defense with our prospects. If teams are willing to trade a first for Xhekaj. This has to be done.
With Lane coming soon we absolutely need Xhekaj ,fast and nimble defenseman and some rough n tough D is like peanut butter and jelly
The Habs defense just isn't the same without Arber. His grit and physical play was starting to gain us some respect at the blueline and we need him back ASAP. He really sets the tone out there.
The habs have been decent on the road lately, can't complain to much as a fan. But boy do I miss seeing Arber out there with the habs. It doesn't feel the same watching the games without him in the lineup.
I’d get rid of Heineman before Farrell! Farrell would be a beast on the future Habs powerplay
I like these rumors because it shows Hughes is really observing around the league for the best deal possible. Thats what make his trades look like steals. The only i think semi rushed trade was Petry because he basically demanded a trade before camp which was in like 2 weeks. Even if Allen is only dealt at the deadline i would honestly rather that because then hes getting the best trade he can.
The problem is that Ghule, Xhekaj, Hudson an Struble can't all play the left side.
Nolan Foote could be a gratuitement add and less expansive then Mercer, bringing some more grit up front
LoL – A package comprising of Harris, Farrel, 2nd round pick, and Allen is a joke for guys like Mercer or Rossi. No GM in the world would do that trade. It would have to be a 1st round pick and Harris and Joshua Roy….All of these, by the way, offer not much of a garanty (excep Harris) that they will ever be significant contributors in the NHL…..But Rossi or Mercer do.
By the way, I feel like putting this out there…Unrelated to today's subject…..Kirby Dach….Why the hell does anyone want to keep that guy? He has never, ever, had more then 14 goals and never, ever completed an NHL season, the guy is the "Potential" poster boy. How can a guy that does not play, be a good acquisition? Maybe a futur subject????

Hutson-Kovacevic
Trade Matheson for a haul and the main thing for return would be a first round unprotected next year or get a young top 6 forward.

We have to keep the bigger guys. Hutson is on the small side, he should be the only small Dman. If they trade Arbour there will be riots in Montreal
If you can Rossi or Mercer to play with Dach and Newhook on a second line. I would jump at it
Not Enough ?!? What are they expecting their own delusional bullshit weight in gold ? Sean Farrell is this close to become a solid NHL 3rd liner already, with the potential to get to a steady 2nd line posish in less than 2 years if the team values speed in offense & breakys (which is exactly the trend we're seeing all over the NHL), ALLEN is the perfect experienced goalie to stabilize any goaltending issue, Harris is as good a stay at home developping D as it gets with a massively untapped assists potential, more importantly ALL these guys, even ALLEN, are salary cheap. AIn't the case with none of those young forwards listed in this proposal. Such a package should be plenty enough to get a still unconfirmed Rossi or a Sillinger without any need to add more than a 3rd round pick, if any. Mercer might be slightly harder to negotiate but can't be by that much either.
