Looking forward to seeing Hunt spread his wings a bit, he looks damn good. I heard ORourke is doing well in Iowa, another good third pair piece. The big clubs needs some of the nasty these guys bring. Surprisingly Bogo is staying within his abilities doing a good job
The 3 point game has got to go. Play 8:00, if no one scores, 1 point each, no SO. If need be and the SO continues, please put a chaser on the D blue-line to prevent the 2 MPH skate in which is completely unfair to the goalies. Beating Vancouver was a huge win, nice to have one team win in OT. Thank heavens I was at the Wild game and not watching the Vikings find unique ways to lose every weekend.
Montreal like MN is a loyal fan base that the league takes for granted, difference is they’ve been brutal for a while and not moving forward it seems while the Wild have built a pipeline drafting much lower. Split with Boston and win the others would be ideal…
I want to see Brock take a few faceoffs for sh!ts & giggles. But seriously, I think as Brock gets used to breaking in on offense, he will more easily recognize a screen player ready to cross and take the shot. I think he does not have shoot first on his top thought yet. It is pounded in to D Men pass, pass, pass…
One last note, AZ played Buffalo after Buffalo played their best game of the year in Vegas. Even Vancouver almost lost to Chicago yesterday. It was completely unfair the last road trip by the Wild. To Calgary, then to Vancouver, back to Edmonton then back over to Seattle. Still irks me how we ended up with that travel / road trip. Wild need to just keep stacking points and ignore the standings. Everything will take care of itself over a 2-3 week period if they play .750 hockey. 🥅

I've had a few ideas for how to change the points for NHL games and basically this, Make a win worth 3 points. Going to OT drops the winner to 2 points and the loser to 1. You dont get the full 3 if you dont win in regulation. it's not a .500 mark if you do win or lose in OT. I also heard during the OT sunday between Toledo and Iowa from a Visiting fan from OKC that OT should work similar to a shootout and over the full 7 minutes you can only use any player for 1 shift. I've also heard mention of an OT shot clock. You could also make it so that a shootout win is only worth a single point for the winner and nothing for the loser to disincentivise teams to playing to the shootout
