I was all in on Murph up until this season but Foligno has been exactly what you look for in a veteran leader. Murph can keep his A as long as we have him but Foligno has proven himself as captain material time and time again. I have tons of respect for him. One of the best offseason acquisitions we’ve had in a long time.

That feature of Nick and his family carving pumpkins on Every Shift really showed him as a person, I think. You can tell what his priorities are in life, but also how that translates to his game on the ice and how he handles himself around his teammates. Just that short feature made me really like the guy. Seems like a great influence to have in the locker room.

Well he can drink on some of the away matches in Canada but still it’s great to see a vet respect that bedard can’t go out so they find out other things to do

He invites the young guys over to his house for family dinner all the time. Foligno is a gem of a human being.
His kids are going to remember eating dinner and getting to know NHL superstars forever.
Bedard and Korchinski are going to look back in 10 years so gratefully that he opened his home to them and made them feel included. It almost brings a little tear to my eye to think about in my older age 😭
