Listen the oilers cannot have a bad start from a goalie right now, they are just now starting to gain some ground on a wildcard spot and cannot be giving Campbell one last chance in the NHL when we can’t play consistently in the AHL.

I totally agree and think it’s ridiculous that the oilers management are trolling and torturing their fan base with this leaked news or worse actually believe his presence will help the team. They’ve literally just started to get back on track and this (if it comes to fruition) should force Jeff Jackson and co to seriously consider firing Ken Holland mid season. If there is no goalie market then so be it, ride Skinner and Pickard because all that will happen is they will drive DOWN Campbell’s trade value whereas at least now, he’s in the minors and an afterthought and if the team can keep succeeding without him the opposing GM’s lose leverage and only bargain for the contract. Oilers management is irresponsible for even putting this out there ffs.
in 7 AHL games he hasn't shown good signs. Pickard and Rodrigues both still better statistically. Who cares how much he makes if he doesn't play good he doesn't play good.
He just kind of forgot how to play goal overnight one day kind of like Matt Murray. Maybe the Monstarz from Space Jam stole their talent. I don't know what happened to them.
Thank you! A voice of reason. Jack has not earned a spot back in the lineup . Yes, they are on a winning streak right now, but I swear sometimes these sports reporters have their heads in the clouds. The Oilers as of today are 14th in the west and 29th overall…. along with being 6 points out of a wildcard spot. I wish Campbell was lights out down there with Bakersfield, but he's not just because he had 1 shutout doesnt mean anything when he's averaging 3 plus goals a game….. Oilers need to focus on Skinner and Pickard and move forward without him. The Oil are fighting for their playoff lives right now and don't need any more distractions. I truly hope they can continue to play better and make a run out of it. If a trade happens a trade happens
heres the thing, Campbells AHL numbers wouldn't even sustain him as an AHL goalie. He would get sent down to the ECHL. What makes you think a fringe ECHL goalie can be a starter for a struggling team?
……Let's REMEMBER the positive…..Jack Campbell was 9–0 in January of 2023…In fact he played so well, many considered it a big mistake that Woody did NOT give Campbell at least ONE start last playoffs!!!!…..THIS YEAR he was EXCELLENT vs Nashville. ….As far as "NOT BEING ABLE TO STRING MORE THAN 3 OR 4 GOOD GAMES TOGETHER."…..Which Oiler does that describe in their first 12 games this year?…ANY OILER???….Including Skinner? No, NO ONE….So YES!!!….Now that they are playing better defence (minus Bouchard) and scoring again, with McDavid healthy ….Give Campbell another shot under those condition's. Don't be surprised if Campbell's record and numbers look a lot better…And could be the feel good story of the year………………(P.S. I still think Pickard looked very good in relief for someone who has not played in the NHL in 2+ years and should have got another start)
Cmon now Campbells confidence is to fragile. The team does not need that kind of distraction,right now things are falling into place.leave Campbell where he’s at.

If jack was an nhl starter…he would be killing it in the ahl…but he is barely squeeking by down there…
