Wayne! I was thinking the exact same thing as I was watching that game thinking why is Tage being benched when he could break an NHL record. You know what that can do for a guy's confidence going forward? Terrible coaching time and time again I don't know why we still have this guy behind the bench
Michael Peca…next head coach??!! I'd buy that. Or Berube. Or Gallant. Or…Quenneville. He's barred from coaching right now, but might be able to get reinstated next summer. Can we wait that long?

I was wrong, after watching last night’s performance I can confidently say keeping granato any longer only hurts the team. Whole coaching staff needs to be replaced. I just hope they don’t cost Adams his job too
I heard the fans at the game last night were calling for Granato being let go… When the fans do that… as a GM, you better be sitting up and taking notice… I'm not sure how much longer he can sit on his hands.. this team is not turning around.
I wasn't fooled, I said right here on this channel that there would be a big regression all summer and that they'd miss the playoffs. When Adams did nothing to help address the needs of this team that was all I needed to know they weren't serious about winning yet. This organization was never serious about winning yet.

I tell ya, buddy – this season has been a gut punch. We've seen how good they can be, but this coaching staff has lost the room. We just need the right coach. The question is, will KA actually make the move? I have my doubts.

Wayne , how is ADAMS going to fire the coach when the GM is the one that assembled this soft unmotivated team ? The GM failed to address the goaltending , failed in the signing of the two free agents defenseman , and finally not addressing the toughness . Finally the premature signing of this young guys long term . This guys have no fear of not been in the NHL they have guaranteed contracts , no motivation. THE GM is paralyzed with fear of making a mistake.
I probably sound harsh and I haven't been paying attention much but I'd change the leadership group. Okposo and girgensons? C'mon.

I watched Granato for the first time in a long time yesterday… still "they know what they did wrong" and we are working to correct it. Completely removes his coaching from the problem…no need for coaching adjustments on the fly! And does Matt Ellis look inspirational or appear to be involved? Tough times continue, hindsight is 20/20, but I did pull for Gudas and Gibson this off-season.

This may sound REALLY crazy, but hear me out. We should find a way to trade for Steven Stamkos! He’s only 33 years old, still an amazing player and leader of one of the best teams in the league over the last decade, and the Lightning don’t seem like they’re going to sign him! Even on a bad day he’s better than 95% of the Forwards we have! I’m not saying to trade the farm for him, but putting in a real effort for a proven Cup winning LEADER, is worth it if you ask me!

Sorry for the hasty comment about Donnie G being fired today, per Sabres Beat Reporting there were some phone calls between Donnie & Kyven Adams, I guess the decision is postponed until after the Christmas which sucks because there are only 49 games left, now would have been the time for the new coach to at least push the team to get to 96 points. I would go as far as boycotting to go the games to send the message to the GM & the Owners. I can sense a million jokes being prepared already about Sabres being the worst team in the NHL with one of the best young talent roster, it really, really sucks.🥵

I agree with almost everything, except the physical play. they had more good hits last night than probably any game I've seen this year–or at least more noticeable hits. funny, I was thinking in the arena that maybe they're shitting the bed because they're focused too much on finishing checks…a couple of times they lost pucks because of it.
I don't care one way or the other whether they're playing physical, if they're winning. last year they were, and they were less physical. this year they're not, and they're more physical. and they're banged up too. wonder how much of that is because they're just not built for that type of play (which, again, is fine, if they can still find ways to win).
and we know for a fact this team doesn't need to play like that to win. they've shown they're capable of easily beating the best teams in the league. they need to figure out how to show up for a full day's work when they're getting paid, and do it every time they're on the clock. maybe that's a coaching problem, maybe it's a mental problem, but it's definitely not a 'we just need to hit people more' problem.
Time for an energized coaching presence! Earnest guys have been the main thing with Sabres since end of Lindy Ruff era.

Wayne, I’ve been a big fan of your channel since the beginning and I’ve been a Sabres fan since the early 70s. You know that I’m not one of those typical overreactive fans, but last night loss against Columbus was the breaking point for me. I’m not watching this team anymore until something drastic is done and The team improves. It was bad enough watching the game yesterday, which was 1 of many of our losses in which we got clobbered this season, but what I can’t stand is also listening to Granato post game still backing his players, making excuses and not holding them accountable. Okposo and Thompson were the only players that were even available to the media last night and the rest of the team was shielded from the media. I even hear that Cozens got chewed out for calling the team soft to the media a couple weeks ago. Okposos answers towards what’s going on in his postgame interview Made absolutely no sense whatsoever. He talks about the team being a “sophomore slump”. What the hell is that mean? same old merry-go-round where the players back their coach, The coach backs the players and the GM backs everyone, yet we’re arguably the worst team in the NHL right now. It’s disgusting.

I mean can't just blame the coaches the sabres players are not motivated enough also theres way to much messing around with the puck and plus the goalie ukko is a stupid goalie he moves around way to much and lets the other team for a easy score all the coaches do is tell them how to play and a certain play they should be following to win the game

This team needs a few veteran leaders who are still capable of playing at a high pace. Right now we have Okposo and E Johnson and they can't keep up with the play anymore. There's a reason Colorado didn't resign him, even though there's an obvious mutual love from both sides there. And I respect the hell out of Okie, but dude was washed after last season. We have the deepest prospect pool in the league but no one to lead them. I think it's time to sell a few to bring in a couple dependable vets.
Call me crazy, but package Mitts for one of these vets. He's got great numbers 5v5 and has been looking like one of our better forwards since last season, but he's the odd man out. Thompson and Cozens were supposed to be the 1+2 going forward. I'd hate to lose him and see him put up points elsewhere, he's got value though. He's not a player we really need if other players pan out too. We need more physical players than one whos only real NHL notability is not being able to do a single pullup. I honestly think a move like this is 100% necessary for the room as well. It's time to break up the Boys Club and let them know they're not here in Buffalo to just hang out with their friends.

I’m fed up I’ve been a long time season ticket holder and I don’t wanna be a complainer but we fans from one of the most dedicated sports towns deserve better I’m glad your niners are good this year hopefully the Sabres can fix it but we need a tough griddy coach who can fix our culture and build something like Vegas or Boston which as much as I hate them they are good consistently because of a winning culture
This is getting serious. It's like seeing The End of Granato & Adams, if things don't improve. If Craig Berube got fired, any of these Coaches & GMs aren't safe. Objectively, I think that it is time for both to go, if they don't turn things around by the New Year. Let me know if you agree, Wayne. Mario
