Some of these teams that are looking for a starter should have taken a shot on DeSmith. He has solid numbers through his whole NHL career and has definitely played as good as a starter this year.

Interestingly, since that New Jersey game where the Canucks bungled getting a point at home with that late goal against. They’ve strung along a 7 game point streak.

Canucks inch closer to playoffs. Now at 95 points assuming 50/50 the rest of the way. No team has ever missed at 97 points.
17 points up on the Oilers while their fanbase was talking about how lucky we were earlier this season hahahahahahahahahahaha. I hope Arizona keeps on winning.
By the other measure (10+ points), even taking into account games in hand, Oilers are done. Blues are done, and won’t pass the Canucks.
Preds need to convert their game in hand to stay alive. Coyotes need at least three points out of their two games in hand to stay alive. Canucks are very close to having at least the six seed, and because the Blues and Oilers are too far back, look like they are playoff bound.
Two more wins in their next two games, and they should be there, even if PDO drops to league average, they’ve played well enough for long enough that their advantage converts to a playoff spot.
Also, just a point out of first overall. If the Lightning beat the Knights and the Canucks beat the Stars, they are in first place.
So much more appreciation for Suter now that we experienced games without him and with him again. Can’t wait to see Soucy back and we’ll be asserting our pure dominance in the last half
