Gotta See It: Scrivens, Lehner get in staring contest during scrums
Robin Lehner isn’t terribly happy at the Montreal Canadiens and during a second period scrum, let his displeasure known. It was enough to draw Ben Scrivens to the blueline to challenge him.
Lehner is lucky to not have a penalty called when he led with that blocker, those have been intent to injure penalties in the past, 5 min major with suspensions
lehner is 6'5 or 6'6 , height doesn't really matter but he is fucking 245, size of Boyle and so much bigger than any other goalie in the nhl pretty mucb
Lehner definitely isn't someone I could see Scrivens take in a fight. That being said, props to Ben for stepping up anyway. Fighting Lehner would be suicide, but it must take some balls to even offer. Love the goalies.
Peoples talking about Lehner balls is weird. In this situation he just had a short temper and tryed hard to bring someone to the penality box with him.
It always sucks when you use a 1st round pick on a guy you think can give you some offense but just becomes a bottom 6 enforcer type (see Zach Kassian) but it's even worse when you use a 1st round pick on a goalie and his big moments are in an enforcer role while never keeping your team in a game.
